in sg u can never get free bread bro :(

Melbourne is a good choice. But I wonder why some went for a God forsaken place like Darwin and you can't really enjoy the beaches and the beautiful rivers without saltwater crocs eating you up.

bro i believe why they go to Darwin is because they got a job there
or maybe they like the enviroment there because from what i see as i been to a few states of Australia they are different lie for exaple Perth the weather there is cooling and population is just nice in short perfect for me and there the shop close really early.

while in melbourne it is also cooling plus raining dizzling during winter abit more crowded now and there many holiday spot u can go.

sydney is like singapore it really look like suntec city in sg very crowded just like sg if i were to migrate to sydney i be moving from one sg to another sg bro kekekeke
oh ya because of the crowd i was so stress there and i told my wife i will never go sydney ever.
if u really want to holiday there spent 1 or2 days in the city and the rest far away from the city then ok

adelaide it is like a ghost town the feeling is like u go to pilau ubin tha is the and the city is like bugis street .

gold coast got the best weater no hot not cold just nice perfect weather there the feeling is like nice and there the population also low nice

As a young mariner then, I once sailed with this vessel to the Northern Territories for an undersea cable survey job. The heat there was atrocious. My yellow coloured work coveralls was drenched in sweat in just 2 hour!
wah so interesting! undersea survey! I have a great love of the ocean and maritime trades, but family forced me into desk bound jobs, so forever, I romanticize such endeavours. overalls means you not on the diving side but topside crew?

Divers were the Pinoys and our local Sinkie guys. Me standby at the vessel bridge.

Nice! Those BBQs are what we take on camping trips or have BBQ at the lake when we go kayaking. Portable. But they are not very powerful in terms of BTU.

bro after we got our australian PR we were told by the agent to go to Australia for holiday to chop the passport and also get to see Australia and we when to Perth i love it so much that i told my wife i want to migrate there and when we were on the plane back to sg and once the plane tyre landed suddenly tears came down my wife console me telling me soon we going to live there

My wife and I flew to Melbourne in 2004 to recce and also for me to have job interviews at a few clinics.

We had a holiday in Perth before that and liked it. On our way back from the airport to our flat the taxi driver was telling us how his daughter migrated to Australia. I opened my mailbox and say this ad in the SMA newsletter advertising for GPs to relocate to Australia. So I contacted them and they set me up with a couple of interviews. Mornington, Frankston, Geelong and Hastings.

I got 2 offers. One in Mornington and another in Frankston. I accepted the Mornington one.

They tried to submit an application for a licence to the Victoria State Medical Board. But the board at that time had a fall out due to Dr Patel aka Dr Death case so they froze everything. And in the end they couldnt give me an answer for 3 months. So we decided to just cancel the plans.

Problem with Australia is they would let foreign doctors practice in Oz in certain higher need areas. We thought maybe very ulu and rural. But as you should know Mornington Frankston are not ulu places. Mornington close to the sea.

But Oz would not give foreign doctors PR unless they had equivalent qualifications eg FRACGP. So the foreign doctors would take the AMC exam then the FRACGP exams. After they got it all they can apply for PR.

In the meantime they would have to pay foreigner tax rates which is high. Work permit is what I would be under.

Oz is of course nearer to SG and the weather is less harsh (cold wise).

But migration was our aim. So we decided better to take the PR from Canada. So what if cannot practice medicine? Change careers. Whereas with Oz go there work.....but later maybe have to go back to Sg. Heard stories of how they purposely fail doctors at exams to force them to remain as work permit holders.

I did meet up with a SBF bro in Melbourne. From Delphi Bomchekchek. Wonder if he is still around?

There were some other people I emailed as well. We were quite close to moving to Oz. But it wasnt to be.

those are wanting to be “darwinian” and win some darwinian awards. ahem.

Too expensive for me.

Sometimes the price does come down.

I usually just go for top sirloin. My kids actually say they prefer top sirloin to rib eye.

Striploin sometimes can be around cad$19.99 per kg. Then I will get that. But rarely happens.

I have always used a Napoleon bbq.
The first Napoleon was about Cdn $800, but I was one of 8 winners from the St. Lawrence Market, some 20 years ago.
Then I bought a natural gas Napoleon bbq, and I had a guy install pipes from the gas meter to the backyard. This is all stainless steel, with a side sear for steaks.
I bbq salmon fillets and steaks all year round except when it is below minus 10C.
We eat salmon on Saturday and Monday.
During the past few months, I have been buying organic salmon.
I usually buy Sterling Silver AAA boneless striploin steaks from Sobeys, used to be $10 a pound on sale , but recently, since COVID 19, about $13 on sale.
Almost never buy at regular price, about $28 to $20 a pound.
Or I will buy AAA certified Angus striploin steaks from Longos at $10 to $12 a pound on sale but recently about $13 to $14.
Sometimes, I will buy AAA boneless rib eye steaks or rib steaks, or veal chops (like T bone steaks).
