WOW,,,after reading this posting, I am now even more strongly convinced that the stop at 2 policy is the best PAP policy ever. What is even better is the discrimination towards the lowly educated /low paid rungs of society were further discouraged from having Kids. That way these poor people can concentrate on working and upgrading etc and not be burdened by mouths to feed etc.

Ang Mor land should start implementing such a policy immediately,,,look at AUssie land,,the more kids u have the more money u get,,,the working/middle class control the population and work to pay taxes to feed the trailer park trash.

You are saying we should vote for a monkey just to balance the scales against the pap, but yet you recognize it is a monkey you are voting for.

What way out of this conumdrum? Democracy has always been decsribed as the tyranny of the majority. And the philosopher king is but a dream waiting to turn into a nightmare.

if there hadn't been 2child policy back then, maybe each couple will have 3 or more..or at least the % of them having 3 or more will be higher. these children then will be adults now, who are responsible for reproducing. if there are less "machines" now (because less being made previously), i can infer that its the 2 child policy back then that cause the problem.

PAP, WP or any other politician or political party which claims to be opposition, all mean nothing to me.
These individuals and parties are only to be used in the quest to make born and bred Singaporean citizens' lives better.

The fact is that the pap are in power and have been there for years.
Are they currently doing a good job as a government, whose main responsibility is to make peoples' lives better? In my opinion, no.
The next step is to support whoever is claiming to oppose them, whether they are "real" or "pseudo" doesn't matter for now.
At least, they have got the pap worried and ruffled, if u look at how they had to apologise before the polls, or react in parliament.

Perhaps you will argue that CSJ was the one who really got them worried and WP is simply pretending.
Well, they dealt with CSJ didn't they? Now he's trying to negotiate a settlement and please don't hold your breath that it will be accepted.
At the very least, when u support WP, u might get them thinking about how powerful they may become and suddenly think seriously about forming the government. Then if they do form the govenment and start riding rough-shod over the citizens, whack them hard figuratively and throw your support behind someone else, be it pap or sdp or whatever party.

Your way, i.e. considering pap and wp as being aligned and condemning both, nothing will change for another 100 years.
