Pandan leaves sure 100% guarantee works.

Buy or pluck some. Wash it first by simply rinsing. Roll one up and hold it with rubber band. Just throw into cupboards or anywhere. Just leave it inside or anywhere dry it will dry up after 2 weeks and then replace it. It has immediate effect because although its fragrance to us cockroaches are afraid of it. Ya it make your space fragrance.

Haha. My brother Zeddy sure knows me well. Girls don't really like the smell of insecticide and also moth balls, so I was wondering if there are other ways.

Keep the room clean, don't eat in the room, check for cockroach nest or eggs in the dark corners.

You see taxi drivers in Singapore and Malaysia and even in Thailand always have pandan leaves in their taxis. Although I'm not taxi driver I also often have it in mine and wife's cars, maid will prepare. Sure work la trust me.

In Thailand especially countryside you seldom have cockroaches problems. Yes they are eaten. Not by Thais but Thai houses usually have tukkae (gecko). Don't feel threatened by their looks they are very beautiful and actually very shy creatures. Houses that has tukkae usually also don't have rodent problems. They are territorial too so you will not find many in a house maybe just 2-3. I love this lizard and they give out a very cute noise too.

@ Raiders Bro, I agree with Bro Laksaboy... Try to find where the main source of their hideout... In that way, you can easily destroy these cockroaches once and for all... Keep the room clean.. Btw I agree too with suggestions of the Bros here to use pandan leaves.. Better keep the room clean and tidy and roach free.. You don't want to lie down on the bed together with her with those roaches creeping everywhere in the room...:p  :D

Lizards are lucky symbols. They help keep away insects.
The sound they give out sounds like fuck you :D.

Total organic solution is pandan leaves.

There is another one that is a chalk like thingy from china.
Very effective you just use the chalk to draw lines on places that they appear.

Agree.Pandan leaves.Cheap simple and bio degradable. The other is neem leaves and oil but the oil can be quite pungent.

Most importantly ,to avoid cockroaches--- the house must be free of food cockroaches feeds on. Deprive food and all pests would leave themselves. You cannot avoid cockroaches running into your room even if it's clean if the kitchen is filthy with leftovers.Cocroaches tend to look for dark corners to hide while waiting to come out during the night.

You are fucking funny Narong. I agree it goes like this

f f f f f f f f f fuck you, fuck you, fuck you f f f f f f f f fuck you, fuck you, fuck you . . . . . . . don't believe? Listen to it yourself

Hi all, I'm using iPhone to reply, hence difficult to quote everyone.

1. Thanks brother Choburific and Joe. I did a google and the pandan method has been recommended also. Will try that :)

2. Brother Laksaboy and Zeddy, her room is free from roaches as she did a thorough cleaning of her room every week. But she has flat mates whose rooms are worse than then the rubbish heaps and I guess that's where the roaches breed. I'm thinking of keeping the leaves at the door opening to prevent the roaches from going into her room.

My first time to see one was in Boracay Island. In the small resort I was staying, each customer per chalet, I heard a loud sound. I asked the lady friend what was that and she said it was a tokay(Filipino name of the lizard). She pointed to the lizard and I got a shock at the size of their house lizard as it was very big in comparison to ours. I was worried it might bite me when I sleep.:(
