Methods to drive away Cockroaches

My first time to see one was in Boracay Island. In the small resort I was staying, each customer per chalet, I heard a loud sound. I asked the lady friend what was that and she said it was a tokay(Filipino name of the lizard). She pointed to the lizard and I got a shock at the size of their house lizard as it was very big in comparison to ours. I was worried it might bite me when I sleep.:(

Next time you see again don't worry. Like I'd said before its territorial and will keep its own population under check. And with it around you will not find spiders, cockroaches, rodents and even house lizards. I am more afraid of our house lizards, remember what they tell you when you were young - lizard's tails sometimes breaks of the body and find its way into your ears and nose while you sleep. Until today I still damn sacred like a psychologically abused boy.

Fuxx today damn cho-bo-lan in office, sianz.

Never heard that old wives' tale before. My Mom may say something and then in the midst of it or just after, a house lizard will make it's call. She will then say,"See? What I said is the truth and the lizard just confirmed it.":D

Wear an amour where you wnat to protect them being bitten!:D

Heard about the panadan leaves thing, but that doesn't eliminate the cockroaches. Eliminating them are a huge challange, even the pest control guys will tell you. I can't stand them for sure, a few facts I learn over the years, trying all sorts of method to rid cockroaches.

1. They survive a nuclear explosion.
2. They are as old as the dinosaurs & still running around.
3. They brains are distributed along their bodies, that is why, you cut the head, they can run around without a head for some time.
4. Same with their lungs, it is distributed.
5. They can float in water in an air bubble for some time.

To get rid of them, burn them... To prevent them from breeding, keep the place clean & do not leave food for them cockroaches to feed on & by the way, they eat almost anything.

On a lighter note, we have 'white roaches, for decades, even burning them, they are still around!:D In short, once you get a roach infestations, it is possible to contain but not totally eliminate. So, don't produce a condusive enivironment for them to come & breed. :D

A poignant song that reverberates my soul.:)

When you were born into this world
Your mom and dad saw a dream fulfilled
Dream come true
The answer to their prayers

You were to them a special child
Gave 'em joy every time you smiled
Each time you cried
They're at your side to care

Child, you don't know
You'll never know how far they'd go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it's true
They'd die for you, if they must, to see you here

How many seasons came and went
So many years have now been spent
For time ran fast
And now at last you're strong

Now what has gotten over you
You seem to hate your parents too
Do speak out your mind
Why do you find them wrong

Child you don't know
You'll never know how far they'd go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it's true
They'd die for you, if they must, to see you near

And now your path has gone astray
Child you ain't sure what to do or say
You're so alone
No friends are on your side

And child you now break down in tears
Let them drive away your fears
Where must you go
Their arms stay open wide

Child you don't know
You'll never know how far they'd go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through
And God it's true
They'd die for you, if they must, to see you here

Child you don't know
You'll never know how far they'd go
To give you all their love can give
To see you through and God it's true
They'd die for you, if they must, to see you here

Always destroy them when you encounter one. Best ways to get rid of them already discussed and I agree. Spray with insecticide the doorways to dispel them from the rooms. There are cockroach traps commercially available that one can attach to dark places they hide. Keep rooms clean regularly and put pandan leaves but that might be a problem unless fresh supplies easily available.

I use a biodegradable surfactant made in Malaysia that removes odours and also kills them by destroying the exoskeleton structures of their bodies. This is not available commercially.

You see taxi drivers in Singapore and Malaysia and even in Thailand always have pandan leaves in their taxis. Although I'm not taxi driver I also often have it in mine and wife's cars, maid will prepare. Sure work la trust me.

In Thailand especially countryside you seldom have cockroaches problems. Yes they are eaten. Not by Thais but Thai houses usually have tukkae (gecko). Don't feel threatened by their looks they are very beautiful and actually very shy creatures. Houses that has tukkae usually also don't have rodent problems. They are territorial too so you will not find many in a house maybe just 2-3. I love this lizard and they give out a very cute noise too.

Windsor, Anak is a classic. Whenever I sit down in a bar or restaurant where there's a Filipino band or singer I will surely request for this song in original Tagalog. In Manila there are many restaurants with 3-4 piece band moving from table to table with guitars and double bass, ya I love them cos when they sing this song beside you, hell I don't know how to describe the feeling. I believe you understand what I mean.

I used to go to the Philippines like 8 times a year in the past for a few years while working for an American company. The friendship I developed with a half chinese businessman there lasted till today and whenever any of our families has an event we will be there. Even now without any business I still see him at least once a year just to catch up.

I also think that Philippine women are the most beautiful women in S.E.Asia, I mean those mixed ones not those original "huan-gia", and there are plenty of mixed ones there. Put it in another way I think the Philippines has the highest concentration of beautiful ladies in S.E.Asia.

Ae thambi, Thai's don't consider tukkae as pests la. Yes they are worth a lot of money now because there is high demand from China for traditional chinese medicine so you find many tukkae farms in Isaan. They will export to China in dried form after sun dry them. Its an industry now. These from the farms are the normal ones. Yes I agree with you that those very beautiful ones are worth a lot of money.

She's cute and beautiful isn't she?

Hi all, I've a friend who has some problems with cockroaches and need some ways to keep them out of her room. Are there any effective ways to go about it? Thank you in advance :D

Why bother? This is a rare opportunity to show your brave gentlemanly courage by capturing the enemies with your bare hands.

Depends on what type of friend.
If it's the sexy chiobu type, I recommend "your manly presence". :D

I have cats in my peesai pigeonhole in woods land. Guarantee no creepy crawlies.

If I were to touch the cockroach with my hand, I'm sure she will banned me from fingering her for one month :(

It's a lady friend and I have beded her already. I just want an improvement in sexual performance from her. Girls will always be touched by such acts of concern and the sex that follows will be mind blowing :D
