I understand that Malaysia has declared one same national and official language, Bahasa Melayu of course. I've attended their Parlimen. Even their Chinese MPs speak Malay fluently. However, English is still prominent in law as Malaysia also inherited the English common law system with volumes of law books written in English and not practicably translatable to Malay. The finance industry is also bilingual, if you have Malaysian bank or brokerage accounts, your statements would come in both languages.

Chinese and Tamil have no official language status in Malaysia.

That only happens in Singapore Parliament with PAP MPs (sure win with nothing much to do or say). In the Malaysian Parlimen, most of them on both sides are eyes big big with teeth grinding ready to bark and ready to fight.

However corrupt the Malaysian police is, all they want is kopi duit, they never did such things.

It's different. It didn't matter if the woman was Mongolian, Chinese or even Malay. They wanted her dead because of specifically and personally targetted reasons. It's different from mass riot and persecution against anyone of a particular ethnicity.

I hv not been to Jakarta ad dont know the Indo police...But do you think the Indo Police is just as bad or worse than the MY Police?

It was racial rioting. If you're non-Indonesian Chinese, don't go there, that's all. In Malaysia's case, it's about kopi duit. If you get caught, bargain and pay up, that's all. Also can don't go there at all.

From a reverse point of view, many Malaysian Chinese are fine with the "system." It's certainly cheaper, better and faster way out to pay kopi duit when caught with an offence, rather than go through official summon.

Your gripe seems to be that you think that you didn't commit any offence and the police fixed you up. On that I can't comment, since I wasn't there.
