Been a terrible time since 2014, had minor strokes and affected my right hand. Thankful to my friends like LT and CS who helped me out. Thank you to some family members who walked away and made me shoulder everything myself. Barely made it.

i has a foot drop few years ago, many things we can not really do involved with physical activities.
do take care ...
life still long:)

Thanks Jayho, it was really bad. Luckily i also met with a few who were happy to work with me. Been gainfully employed but still left with the bills to foot for those who just walked away from their obligations.

Just to share, for those who need to cross over the border from Singapore to Honor Bahru and vice versa, please consider booking with www.sgjbcab.com

I am a small shareholder in the firm and would appreciate if anyone can consider using them. Thanks everyone.

Sorry to hear about that. Perhaps you can reconsider your priorities in life. At your stage, health is wealth and do take time away from work to relax your mind and exercise your body.

Sorry to hear about your situation, and all the while we thought you were so busy with your work and life becos you did not post for a long long time!
Anyway, don't be too hard on yourself, we can only do so much with our 2 hands!
Take it as a 'wake up' call, and be more nice to yourself from now on, don't stress yourself out, it's no small joke if your body cannot handle it.
Health is wealth!
So pls take good care of yourself!

Hi everyone.
Need some urgent serious help. Read many contradicting articles online so best I ask those who are doing it so now. Most articles are outdated as well.

I will be moving to JB and working in Singapore.
Daughters will be in Singapore school, morning session, so I must be at their Singapore school by 7.30am Mon-Fri
Without traffic, it took me 45mins from East Ledang to her primary school.

But I need to know what time should we leave home in order to avoid traffic.
I rather leave earlier and then hang out somewhere in Singapore doing something than to be stuck in traffic.

I left 630am and we arrived 8.00am and another day arrived 8.30am

Someone told me in order to totally avoid any traffic jam at the immigration, to leave home at 4am!
is this right?

Also, how does someone from Singapore living in JB get a full-time live in housemaid?
To apply for a housemaid in Malaysia, you need a Malaysia work visa, but mine's Singapore.
To apply for a housemaid in Singapore, can the maid go in and out of SG-JB-SG using the MACS card like us?

Hope someone can truly help me out here. Thanks

My family have been living in Jb and working/studying in SG for the last 5 years. Traffic jam is getting worse though tolls have been increased. We leave home, Terbrau side at 5am. On good days, will clear Woodlands checkpoint b4 6am. On bad days, 7am or later. We enjoy the extra space and cheaper groceries/food but the jam has taken a toll on our patience and family bond with our singapore relatives. We will move back to SG next year after weighing the pros and cons on the well beings of our teenage children. Public transport is so inconvenience that adult got to drive them around making it hard for them to be independent.
You can apply MACS for your housemaid but no guarantee that it will be approved. I were told by the agent at Orchard Parade Hotel that out of 3 applications on the day of my submission, only mine got approved.
Anyway above is just a sharing of my living in Jb's experience.

Would it be better to send your kids over to International school in Johore ? They will mix with different kind of people, grow up in a different environment ?

Just now i google some for some information of the school fees, it is indeed very expensive to send kids to international school in JB. I guess the kind of people who can afford are the expat who has budget from company. If not, common people can forget about sending kids to International school even in JB.

Thought of that too but Sg got one of the best education system and being a Singaporean we are entitled to cheap school fees, therefore we choose to go through the hassle by commuting to sg daily.
Also our move to JB is because of cost savings.
