In this age, its hard to come accross a person like you who would take pain to help others and specially a person who have never met before... Not able to find appropriate words to express my gratitude

As far as my case is concerned, let me brief the sequence once again
1. No doubt Chris is a great guy, he was the one who had spend almost half a day and helped us to select our dream home. The corner unit that we selected was clearly marked as interntional lot. Never did he mention during signing of "Option of Purchase" that status of the lot is subjected to change.

2. It was only in 3rd/4th week of April we received email from HH that we have signed a wrong document and therfore we need to sign the document they had sent. After verifying we found that there was new clause added. The clause i had posted in this forum, u may refer to #5751. Every one here suggested that its a normal clause and even I did call Chris, who told me there is nothing to worry as we have bought the international lot.

3. In May/June (not sure of the date) had a chat with Chris, and again it was related to s&p date. there he mentioned in general about bumilot. I did enquire if it has anything to do with my unit. He said its rare chance (he mentioned 1%) that my unit will be converted to bumilot. Even in this forum i was told that, bumi lot can be converted to international lot, but reverse is not true. And thats the reason we were confident about our unit. We were just waiting for s&p and were contacting different bankers for our loan approval. Most of the banker details i got was through this forum

As usual i again called Chris 2nd week of July to ask about s&p and there he told me that HH will submit some document (not sure of the name) to goverment which will decide on the lots (either international or bumilot). He told me he will call me to update on Thursday. That is where i told him to try. But agian there was no call either from Chris or HH. Meanwhile i kept following up with my bankers for the loan approval process. Loan from HSBC was approved by then, but still i wanted to try other banks

5. Last Saturday (11th August) i happened to call Allen (our SCB banker) to enquire about the loan status and that is when he told me that Chris has to share some info with me

6. I called Chris and enquired about the status, only then he told me that our unit has been converted to bumilot. I was highly disapointed and virtually lost my cool on hearing that. It was such an important news and Chris didnt even bother to inform me. After i counterd him on that front, he said "sorry" and said laywer might have informed me. Niether did he call me last time when he told that he will inform me of the status. There was no communication from HH or Chris on this front till date.

7. He agreed that it was his mistake and told me that his management will call me on Monday (13th Aug) to discuss

8. I personally met him on Sunday(he was in Singapore for seminar at SPH). he assured me that he will try to arrange for alternative and that he has spoken to his management. With his promise that his management will call me between 10 to 10:45am on Monday (13th Aug) to disccus, i came back

9. Today, i waited for his/management call till 1:30pm and finally called Chris. he told me that he has the details for the size of the alternative unit but not other details. But the point is that he didnt bother to inform me and kept me waiting till 1:30pm. I told him to link me up with his management team, on that he told me that as it was lunch time therfore he will inform his managment about me.

10. No emails and no communication from either HH or Chris so far... (its me who has been chasing Chris to provide me his managment contact)

Now u experts here, please advice what should we be doing or anyone in this situation should do

My take is chasing it will get you nowhere but only more frustration.
Looks like some big shot who like your corner unit pulled some strings and the powers that be gave in to him. A bumi gets further 15% discount on top of that. It is indeed unusual that international lot becomes bumi lot. In fact the bankers who processed your loan could not have got it wrong. It would have originally been like what Chris said to you, ie international lot. Thus sounds like someone made the switch. It is hard to get a corner lot in HH these days. May I ask if is a new phase launch?
Poor chris. He was not able to explain, hence ask Management to, who in turn sounds to be avoiding it. Best go see them face to face but go with this defeat in mind to not be disappointed. Hope they will waive all your fees incurred.
Well, the hope remains that the person who liked your unit unlike it, and a reversal happens. It can happen.

Only reason why I did nothing was most of his comments were commenting on things here generally while every other post, it appears you have an axe to grind against HH. That guy was sharing and complaining about his experience and like you sharing 'truthfully'.

I sometimes say good things about hh and el just that in this wonderful forum, u can only hear the good things (about horizon hlls)

People was talking bad about EL and you immediately jumped on the defensive and commented about another development saying this has that too, etc. I deleted to save whatever bits of respect some may have for you. Or maybe use 1st link if 2nd link too congested. But EL near 2nd link so if travel by 1st link got to sacrifice some petrol. Or you can switch to motorbikes if u have the license. Sometimes i drive and sometimes i ride depending the time and jam at that time. It's a big sacrifice I can say if one wants to stay in MY.
--- The reason I buy apartment is all the points u listed which are my main concern.
Our guards here never sleeps at nite when on duty. No mosquitoes in my place, no flood, no stray dogs, no power failure (from day 1) hopefully touch wood!

It's best to change all the guards to Gurkhas, they are on the ball and fearless.

Maids issue Maybe should try 1st link. My opinion maybe 2nd link immigration more strict. 1st link too busy, no time to entertain or disturb anyone.

Ok, herein lies the difference in version, he said that he did speak to you about the fact that this is still subject to final state approval.

Yes agreed, he said that if there was no revision, there would have not been any change at all. From the follow up, he did mention that other units, not just yours were affected by the conversion. Back then, no one here knew your plot was undergoing revision.

Can you confirm if that was before or after the review, etc process?

I think you are referring to the FIC? I asked him about this, seems the banks was notified not to go ahead with the loan as state conset would not have come through.

Chris informed me that he has informed the banks and they know not to proceed.

Which lawyer did you deal with as there should have been communication from the lawyer appointed on this.

He informed me that you were confrontational and understandably so, i would sit down and have a catch up with him and his manager to go over the alternatives personally as things may get lost through the wire.

In terms of legal, probably they have locked down all the angles. You should pursue this with their management which i am pretty sure will do something fair or at least refund with interest. If not, then i am sure everyone here will agree you could or should pursue it to the fullest extent.

I am no knight and certainly cannot fit in any armour with my girth hahaha. I am very comfortable with my sexuality so no issues with sailormoon once in a while. Once we had a staff who came to office dressed like Jupiter or something. Hilarious and one of the managers wanted her to change, i told them it was ok and she had a field day.

I think he should if he really cannot get a satisfactory reply from them about this. It could become reversed especially if loan is not approved, etc but if its already bumi lot, they would have to apply for it to be reversed and that is still iffy.

Dear Sirs, i am trying to bring back HH's posting made during his important working hours yesterday. To help save time and to be fair, can a third party who may have read it and archived it bring it back up and share with all for posterity?

So that we can take note of things like how there are stray cats comparison in HH for the stray dogs in EL. Guards sleeping in HH too just like in EL. Mosquitoes in HH too. Ponding in HH but not flooding. (i will need to find the ponds as described by HH, in HH, good for fishing maybe)

These are all good technical questions for everyone to take note.

Very true. One of the things that can be difficult is knowing what is adapting to the situation and what is someone talking advantage of you. You want to be a good guest and not expect unreasonable things. You don't help though by being taken advantage of by those who can use the "you are being an unreasonable foreigner." Sometimes this line is easy to see, sometimes it is difficult to tell if you are being a good guest or a patsy.

Thank you Dream&Action for your kind assistance in reposting what I have written for the benefit of those interested to know more. Perhaps I should try to take some photos of guards in HH and EL napping and stray cats loitering outside my tenants' kitchens waiting for food so that my comments can be justified. Please dont see my viewpoints as complaint but take it positively as feedback.

Ponding occurs in all estates and not only in HH. It does happens during heavy thunderstorm which cannot be avoided. And I am unsure why even this candid comments can be misconstrued to be negative. I am not in a position to comment on Nusa Duta, Casa, Laguna etc as I have no experience in living in these estates. Therefore I dint comment on the security or ponding or stray dogs/cats issues over there and thats fair enough.

Please do, you never answered any of my points on why you had to use a blow by blow comparison about HH when people are talking about other development, it was totally unrelated. Avoiding the issue and then threatening to leave when things have been pointed out does not help your case. Please speak directly to the person you are trying to address. You yourself said you do not live in HH but have experience from your tenants. Please be fair and share your candid experience on EL as well, both positive and negative.

Agree, it is hard sometimes and as a foreigner here, i do my very best to adapt and to be kind to the host. Some of us here are already thinking of contributing more to the country and its people in different ways.
