Was listening to LFTV where old Reds legend 'Saint' made a good observation...to him Reira probably played his best game against Villa and provided the right balance...also the team Rafa fielded against Villa is probably the best Reds team based on Liverpool's current squad...so hopefully all those players stay injury free, fit and maintain the same consistent form that they have produced over the last 2 weeks for the rest of season, Rafa keeps fielding this same team and continues with the same attack minded tactics and not tinker around as before, then Reds stand quite a good chance of winning the remaining BPL games and also going all the way to Rome::cool:

Most of the Liverpool players seems to be peaking at the right time  ...... even the slowest fullback in the BPL Dossena has lost weight and shown much improvement :p ..... except for Lucas Leiva who is still as clumsy and clueless as ever :(

Brazil's coach Dunga has dropped Lucas from the Brazil team...... why does Benitez still wanna play him

To make a serious challenge for the BPL title it is important to have all squad players up to peak form especially in the run period, not just the first XI...strength in depth is vital...this where Liverpool appears to lose out to United and Chelsea...Lucas is shit, Plesis is shit, Ngog is shit, Al Zahar is shit, Dossena has been shit till last week...thankfully Yossi, Sami and Agger have been quite reliable when called upon...Rafa really needs to try and address this problem over the summer...and perhaps also give a chance to Insua, Nemeth and Spearing...oh and maybe give another chance to Voronin who has been on fire for Hertha Berlin on loan in the Bundesliga this season:wink:

PS. Just read that Rafa may be interested in luring Robben to Anfield from Real, exciting prospect if Rafa is able to keep Robben injury free and fit.

he is injury's prone, might not be a good investment although his dribbling skills is good.

Yes that is the risk with Robben, experienced by both mourhino and ramos. But Robben is the type of player that can turn a game and open up defences, he has that something special, like messi, cristiano and kaka. Liverpool needs this type of player to complement their exisiting talented squad and take it to the next level. A player of Robben's skill would have probably made the difference to at least 3-5 of the 10 games that the Reds have drawn in the BPL this season, picking up another 6 very precious points minimum.

Oh yes in my previous post I forgot to mention Ryan Babel. To me Babel is a raw diamond that needs to be nurtured and polished. He appears to blow hot and cold and lacks consistency but I think Rafa needs to pay special attention to Babel to groom and get the best out of him. I think Babel can turn out to be a great striker/winger if properly nurtured and Reds should make the most of his potential.

I think Robben is not a serious bid by Pool, i think its to get back at them for RM's lame attempt at trying to tap up Gerrard haha. Clearly he's not the same explosive player as he was in Chelsea.

You are probably right, I think I saw something to this effect on the Ch27 FC crawler earlier today. So no Robben and no Silva. Who then is on the Rafa's list? Apart from Barry perhaps:rolleyes:

we just forget about Barry.
he may not fit into our system of play.

Actually Barry & Gerrard both combined very well....... natural chemistry between them  ...... if Rafa can get Barry then maybe he will sell his godson "Clumsy" Lucas Leiva :p who is a liability to Liverpool whenever he plays :(

Why take interest in Robben? I do not think he is a very good player, at least, not to the scale of Torres, Gerrard, Ronaldo.

I thot Barry will be a perfect fit to the way pool plays. Moreover, u have the 6+5 rule that appear to have gained support from some coaches including Mourinho.

With you on this one mate. Hopefully all the players return back without injuries and not too tired from playing and travelling. Overall Reds internationals seem to have had a good outing but when i saw the Bolivia v Argentina score, I thought, yikes hope Masch isn't too jaded from this episode:eek:

hope we can continue from where we left-off before the international disrupt it.

I personally think Robben will be a good buy. He may be an idiot (well, most Dutch are) but he's exceptional. best of all, he's a very left sided player. The type of player Rafa would covet.
If u asked me, Kuyt (GBP10mil) is crap for a Dutch. As one sportswriter described him as a craftless winger/striker, he's not far away. Kuyt is hardworking & very eager, that's no doubt. But his 1st touch sux, his crosses are directionless & instead of placing the ball with the goal at his mercy, he tends to blast it.
Barry CMI in Liverpool system. He's the tough swashbuckling type of player without much skill. But we already have that kind of player in mascherano, havent we?
Liverpool need another striker in the mould of Torres. Robben anyone?
