But there are some many white collar FT in Singapore .... the question is do we really need so many white collar FTs in Singapore?

Yes, Singapore has an aging population and it will be a tough problem in time to come .... so the easy way out it is to import more FTs.

It's distracting to tell Singaporeans that FTs need to be imported to do jobs that Singaporeans shun .

The problem is :there are just as many jobs in the white collar sector given to New Residents .
A great substantial amount . Saying that Singaporeans lack the credentials and experience to do it .

Stranger yet Students are being denied of placements into tertiary institutes in order for them to carry on into their normal adult life .
Relentless competition . Yet you see children of New Residents in schools having no problems in admission whatsoever .

Honestly speaking, not much sinkies would want to do work like; sweepers, cleaners, construction workers all. So sinky need to hire the foreign workers in to fill up these needed jobs

Yeah, but why you have to give them PR so easily? Last time, Singapore PR very hard to obtain, now suka suka just give out to FTs.

Firstly, I don't know why a Law Minister like Shagyourmama is making comments on HDB and FTs, comments that should be made by MOM and Ministry of National Development ministers. He can simply defer to the questions. Shagyourmama should know that there used to be a hierarchy in S'pore. We imported the FTs to build the roads, HDB estates, etc. But after they finish, they fuck off back home and are not encouraged to stay and pick up a PR.

Also, in the past, it was not white collar people that were coming in, but now it seems that no job is safe for a sinkie.

Some of these FT earn as low as $500 per month, now can any Singaporean live with such a salary? It is not jobs that Singaporeans shun but the salary is just too low.
