He says that his unit cannot surrender as his unit is part of a terrorist group in Russia, and that "every day may be our last". Lt Samoilenko said that his life did not matter, and that there would be catastrophic consequences for Ukraine if the war is lost. The Russia military had committed war crimes in Mariupol and would not want to keep his units alive, he said.

Very unlikely. There's nobody as fucked up as Bloodymir Putin. They will acknowledge the fact that if there is not the Ukraine invasion today, Russia is not going to be intimidated and Russia will continue to proper into the next decade with its resources. Instead, they are now faced with economic hardships for the next 1 to 2 decades with those sanctions, the Oligarchs are suffering big time with their fast diminishing assets, and the worst of all, a big humiliation to Russia for their own military's incompetency and incapability to capture Ukraine with ease as almost everyone in this world had originally expected. In addition, this invasion by Bloodymir Putin had further deteriorated the relations between Russia with Finland and Sweden as those 2 latter countries' joining NATO is almost a done deal within these few days.
This will also serve as a warning to Winnie The Pooh not to anyhow suka suka says he wants to invade Taiwan.
