How much petrol per litre does a 2.0 Camry consume ?

It seems that the notion that Toyota cars are economical applies only to the Altis range and below, i.e. Yaris. A Camry drinks as much as her continental counterparts.

Why can't you do a search for the info yourself???

My Camry 2.4 Hybrid in Bangkok gives me 13km per litre on average and that is I am on the highway most of the time. If in downtown then should give me about 15km/l because the electric motor will be cut in most of the time. Been driving this for past 14 months and performance still no difference from day one.

I don't trust those information 'sponsored' or 'paid for' by Toyota. So stop giving me those 'official' data. They're as accurate as PAP's statistics.

Oneshift isn't sponsored by Toyota you twit. There are literally thousands of independent sites where you can glean the required information directly from independent sources.

So ? I still prefer to have a dialogue with fellow Singaporeans on this topic. If it's a common topic in real life, it's a topic befitting of this forum. And btw, this topic is not just about Camry.

You're behaving like PAP seeking to micro manage every topic in this forum.

Thailand does not have a 2.0 model unfortunately. With Cefiro, I'm told 2.0 model consumes more than a 3.0 model. Not sure about Camry though.

But 13 km per litre for a 2.4 Camry is almost unbelievable. It's as good as a 1.6 Tiida or Latio in Singapore.

If you refer to one of those 'trusted' information given by one of those links provided, it says 12.5 litre per 100 km on average. That works out to be 8 km per litre !

I'm not micro managing anything you twit. If I did, I would have deleted your thread of closed it.

You are most welcome to ask any question you want no matter how moronic the question may be. However, you have to accept that part of the dialogue you're seeking will include those who take you to task for asking stupid questions.

People who drive 2 litre cars shouldn't be concerned about fuel consumption in the first place. If they find fuel consumption to be a strain on their pockets, they should buy a much smaller car or take a bus.

I've never bothered about the fuel consumption of any of my cars. The day I start worrying about the cost of fuel is the day I give up driving and stick to my bike.

You're micro managing it, you twit. You're behaving exactly like PAP. You never bothered about fuel consumption that doesn't mean everybody must adhere to your mindset.

You're micro managing it, you twit. If not for the fact that you're the moderator of this forum, you would have been banned by many.

BTW, you like talking to google doesn't mean everybody must follow subscribe to your nerdy lifestyle.

For goodness sake, please stop micro-managing every single thread.

Since you never bothered about the fuel consumption of any of your cars, you wouldn't be able to test the veracity of the data provided by those 'trusted' websites of yours.

The truth is you don't have any personal knowledge of the level of petrol consumption of your cars and you rely wholesale on 3rd party information. As such, you don't have enough personal knowledge to engage in a dialogue.

The question is not stupid; it's just that you don't have personal knowledge. Now we know why and when you dislike certain questions.

BTW, seeking a dialogue on petrol consumption of different cars does not mean 'worrying' about petrol consumption. Don't even attempt to spin it like the Braddell prostitutes.

Even if you're not worried about petrol consumption, that does not make the information pertaining to petrol consumption of certain cars irrelevant, or worse still, stupid.

Not everybody has to subscribe to your way of thinking. You know well enough that if you're in another forum and go around calling people twits, stupid etc. you will be banned. You're only a tyrant in your own territory, and that reminds me the government of a certain country.

Nobody is forcing you to trust any particular website. However, if you trust any replies posted in this forum, you're an even bigger twit than I thought.

For goodness sake, please stop micro-managing every single thread.

I don't even read 95% of what's posted here.

This forum isn't run like other forums. This is one of the few forums where the host can be abused without any consequences whatsoever. In return, members have to be willing to put up with being called twits and morons. If you don't like it, there are many other forums where you can ask your question.

non-hybrid, 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder sonata wins fuel efficiency accolade in 4-door sedan class which includes the camry, altima and accord...

http://autos.yahoo.com/articles/autos_content_landing_pages/1711/getting-greener/

"Hyundai's new Sonata exemplifies these trends perfectly. The redesigned 2011 model forgoes a six-cylinder version altogether -- unheard of in the midsize market. With its 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine, the Sonata achieved best-in-class efficiency of 35 mpg on the highway while beating the power of its four-cylinder midsize competition. Rodney English of Chevy Chase, Md., gets 37 mpg on the highway in his leased Sonata with no trade-off in power or roominess. For $219 a month, he says, "the driving experience for the price is very good." The Sonata is also available as a hybrid and in a powerful, 2.0-liter, direct-injected, turbocharged version."
