This regenerative organic ecosystem set up outside the outlet is where fish waste is recycled and used to provide nutrients to the plants and vice versa. This station is just one of many stringent processes that helps to reduce the environmental impact of producing food.

Happy to launch the National University Health System - NUHS Centre for Healthy Longevity (NUHS CHL) this morning.
The new centre has an important mission — to enhance healthy life expectancy, or healthspan, by slowing biological ageing. This is an especially salient issue for Singapore and many parts of the world, where our populations are rapidly ageing. As lifespans increase, what matters more than absolute longevity, is whether we live actively, age purposefully, and stay in relatively good health. As I mentioned at the Singapore Summit of the report of the Global Roadmap for Healthy Longevity just two weeks ago, it is critical for societies to harness the longevity dividend in the years ahead.
There is much for the new centre to contribute, not just for Singapore, but the world. I am also glad that the Lien Foundation has generously supported this cause. I look forward to future ground breaking research work that would benefit everyone!

Trying out the Advanced Glycation End (AGE) Reader, which uses light to excite autofluorescence from our skin. The autofluorescence provides an immediate cardiovascular risk prediction. And because cardiovascular risk is one of the measures of biological age, measuring the level of AGEs in our skin tissue can estimate our biological age.

HSK deeply saddened by the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. :frown:

Deeply saddened by the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty presided over one of the longest periods of peace and prosperity in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
During her reign, Singapore had the honour of hosting Her Majesty on three State Visits — in 1972, 1989 and 2006.
Her Majesty will always be remembered for her grace, steadfast dedication and lifetime of service over the past 70 years.
My condolences to King Charles III and the family, together with the people of the United Kingdom for their loss.

Had a joyous Mid-Autumn Festival with the 新加坡中华总商会 SCCCI community!
It was an extra special celebration of three “1sts”:
- the 1st time that SCCCI has held a physical celebration since COVID-19;
- the 1st time that SCCCI President Kho Choon Keng and his team has organised the festival celebrations after the 61th Council of the SCCCI was inaugurated this year;
- the 1st time that Mid-Autumn celebrations were held in the newly refurbished SCCCI building.
Delighted to see friends from various communities — enjoying the performances and food, and most of all, the reunion of old acquaintances and pleasure of new connections. And as we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, we also celebrated the values that all of us in Singapore treasure: our multiculturalism, a sense of unity, and a strong commitment to future generations.
中秋佳节,花好月圆。祝福大家,合家安康,生活圆圆满满!

One of the new additions to the revamped SCCCI Building is the Chinese Business Culture Hub — an exhibition space that showcases the SCCCI’s history and the story of the SCCCI Chinese Entrepreneurial Spirit.

Established 116 years ago to represent the interests of the new Chinese immigrants to Singapore, SCCCI has played an important role in our country’s history. I am glad many of the Chamber’s significant contributions are now documented here. I hope it serves as a platform for younger Singaporeans to appreciate the history of SCCCI and Singapore.

Tried out this fun interactive exhibit that captures a photo of your face and superimposes it on a nostalgic scene from Singapore’s past, complete with vintage clothing and accessories! Here I am in front of the old Kallang Airport. Bonus — it also makes you look younger too!

It was a beautiful day to be out and about. Wonderful to see so many families and friends come together in support of the event!
Took some photos with Sharity Elephant, whom I have not seen for a long while.
A big thank you to everyone who took part, and a special shout out to the Metta School’s dance team for their pre-flag off performance.
