A lovely performance by the seniors of Brahm Centre, who performed Indian, Malay and modern dances! Uncle Wu (in white) is 91 and is the oldest dancer in the group, but he is young at heart!

HSK's plan is to create a Green East Coast.

Kudos to our young volunteers, Samantha Thian and Yasser Amin, behind the #EastCoastBeachPlan initiative!
Their efforts won them the inaugural Love Our ‘Hood award at the annual Municipal Services Awards, which recognises community members who have proactively partnered with agencies and town councils to resolve municipal issues on the ground.
Glad to see that the initiative is still going strong, and more people are coming up to contribute their time for this meaningful cause. Together, we can create a #GreenEastCoast and make a difference to protect our green environment!

HSK visited HTX.

HTXSG turns 3 today!
The ‘X’ in HTX (or the Home Team Science and Technology Agency) reflects its mission to be a force multiplier for the Home Team. Their engineers and scientists leverage the latest technological innovations to strengthen the Home Team’s capabilities by working closely with industry players and our IHLs to co-develop solutions that will counter evolving homeland security threats.
During my visit to HTX, I saw how they have been leveraging robotics, AI, and biometrics to empower Home Team departments in their daily operations. Their engineers and scientists also shared with me how their innovations enable a more robust and integrated approach to homeland security operations.
I am confident that HTX will continue to strengthen Singapore’s safety and security in the years to come. Happy birthday, HTX!

Deeply saddened by the passing of former President Jiang Zemin.
Mr Jiang will be fondly remembered for his dedication and service to his country. China’s remarkable growth and its integration into the global economy during Mr Jiang’s tenure in office speak volumes of his steadfast leadership and foresight.
Mr Jiang was a good friend of Singapore. We deeply appreciate his contributions to growing Singapore-China relations. Our longstanding and multi-faceted bilateral relations today is built on the strong foundations that Mr Jiang and previous generations of leaders have laid. The Suzhou Industrial Park, our first G-to-G project which began during Mr Jiang’s time, continues to flourish.
My deepest condolences to Mr Jiang’s family and the people of China during this difficult time.

Very pleased to host our Research, Innovation and Enterprise Council (RIEC) members for the 13th RIEC meeting. After two years of videoconferencing, I was glad to meet with them in person, and personally welcome a number of new members to the Council.
RIEC members come from all around the world, and are leaders across diverse sectors – including companies, academic institutions, and research bodies. They bring a wealth of experience and expertise, and have keen insights on the latest global technological and economic trends. Some members, including Prof Bob Brown, Sir Richard Friend, Boon Hwee have been with us for more than a decade! Over the past two days, we had lively and robust discussions about Singapore’s R&D strategies, and how we can continue to push the frontiers of innovation to address our biggest challenges. Their perspectives will be very useful in helping us to assess our plans, and find areas where we can continue to improve.
I thank RIEC members for their contributions, and look forward to hosting them again in future.

Celebrated the achievements of our National Youth Achievement Award Council participants at the 20th Gold Award Ceremony yesterday!
This award is the pinnacle of their NYAA journey. All of them have made a meaningful difference to the community. Some have initiated projects that uplift disadvantaged families and marginalised groups. Others have made the environment and sustainability their focus. There are many other examples.
But the journey doesn't end here. I encouraged them to continue to build teams and form bridges, both within Singapore and beyond our borders to make a greater impact on the world.
Congratulations! Our appreciation too to President Halimah Yacob for her strong support of the NYAA and our youths all these years.

It was a fun-filled day at the TEAM Fiesta @ Bedok carnival on Friday!
The carnival was organised by the SG Cares Volunteer Centre @ Bedok (Filos Community Services), together with many partner organisations. More than 500 social service beneficiaries explored the various games, workshops, and food stalls.
The carnival aptly coincides with SG Cares GivingWeeksg, a movement that galvanises the community to make a difference. It was wonderful to see so many volunteers coming together to make the carnival happen. To support more social service agencies in better tapping on volunteers, the National Council of Social Service (NCSS Singapore) has developed a new tool, the Volunteer Management Maturity Matrix. I hope that we will see even more volunteers stepping forward to contribute their time and expertise.
My thanks to everyone for organising this event and making this possible!

Ruth Yeo, from Filos Community Services shared with me some of the services that SG Cares Volunteer Centre (VC) @ Bedok provides — from befriending seniors to distributing care packs and carrying out minor repairs at residents’ homes.
