Othman Wok married his 2nd wife without the 1st wife knowing it.. He met his 2nd wife during his MPS.. She was a divorcee with one kid, a Chinese who was adopted by a Malay family when she was young.. She went to his MPS to seek his help regarding her flat purchase.. Othman was smitten by the beauty of this lady by the name of Lina and the rest is history..
They then married secretly.. But it was not long before his 1st wife found out his secret marriage and subsequently blew her top at Othman.. But then again, Othman was already having some problems with the 1st wife over her extreme jealousy towards him.. Othman was then summoned by Raja to meet the Old Fart.. Old Fart was bit worried about the personal problems that Othman was having with the 1st wife and his 2nd marriage to Lina .. Othman then reassured Old Fart that everything's in order and he could take care of his own problems.. Othman then was given the Ambassador post in Jakarta.. Brought his 1st wife with him there and left the 2nd wife in Spore.. 2nd wife would occasionally visit Othman in Jakarta.. Othman's 1st wife then passed away few years after his retirement.. And Othman Wok lived happily ever after with his 2nd wife Lina..

Read Said Zahari's Dark Cloud at Dawn.. In his book, he lavished praise onto Lim Chin Siong.. Said regarded Lim Chin Siong as one of his best friend ever and the feeling is mutual too on the part of Lim.. Lim used to visit Said at his Upper Changi Rd home back then before their detention.. Lim loved the simple cooking of Said's wife.. One of Lim's favourite Malay dishes was the egg sambal cooked by Said's wife.. Agree..must say that what he didnt say speaks volumes about how he felt about his comrade. Notice how Harry boxed his "tribute" around his redoubtable character, rather than what he has done. On many occasions, the two men stood on opp sides of the line in the sand.

Used to have one Dr Lee Chiaw Meng. Is he still around?

LCM passed away about 2001. Yes, he had an eye for SYTs and that got him into trouble with LKY. His wife divorced him. He remarried, to someone a third his age. Oddly, when his 50 something ex-wife and the 30 something new wife stood next to each other on stage to accept the toast from guests at LCM's daughter's wedding, the ex-wife actually looked better.
