Diablo III is here finally

Clerk Seth Chan

What a name. He could have just called himself Diablo Chan.
:D

People that bought their Diablo 3 copies should check this site out.

On the other hand my $100 Diablo CE is selling for $200-300 at ebay. ;)

Note: Diablo 3 is a GLOBAL game. It makes no difference where you buy it from other than price, how quick that copy takes to get to you and if they are reliable in getting it to you. You also need to choose if you want a boxed copy or digital copy. The RMAH is locked to the region your Battle.Net account is set to (listed as "Country of Residence" under Account Management). So you can buy the copy from the UK. Then choose to play on the NA North American Server. You can then use the NA North American Gold auction house and the Real Money Auction House in the North America region with your copy purchased from the UK.

Note: All versions of the game include both a PC and MAC version of the game. So the DVD will have both a PC and MAC version on it. If you purchase the digital copy you will be able to then download both the PC or MAC client. You do not need to buy a separate version of the game for each platform. This is in line with most Blizzard game releases.

Note: It is possible to update your D3 account at a later time to CE edition. For this, once Diablo is released, you may place the Collector's Edition on your Battle.net account, which will override the current Pre-ordered Standard version. Once that occurs, you will receive all the rewards from the Collector's Edition and you will need to contact Blizzard directly on 1-800-592-5499 so they can provide you with a new CD Key that can be placed on any other Battle.net Account. Billing representatives are available to take phone calls between 7 am to 8 pm Pacific Standard Time, 7 days a week.

It is better to get the boxed copy rather than the digital copy.

Firstly, those eager fanboys would have congested the download servers which will make your digital copy download speed very slowl.

Secondly, the boxed copy will include a nice booklet.

just read that there is a game breaking bug in the game...good luck to those playing LOL

i got the bugs, i was collecting lots of weapons and increasing my skill, then i got boot off battlenet, i tried to log in, not possible, next day i tried, i got zero weapons and start from beginning.

unlucky.

The Koreans finished the game in normal mode within 6 hours. What is amazing it took Blizzard 11 years to develop a game and 6 hours to complete.

only the easiest mode (normal), it will not be possible to do it in higher level in short time.

ok and then what? Fyi blizzard didn't want to release the game too early not that it took them so long to develop the game they wanted to milk wow and diablo2 first and also so what if the game took that long to develop? It was well worth the long amount of time taken cos it got such a big response from locals here and elsewhere. It even got a thread started on this forum and it's just a PC game. It's the same with movies. Some movies take a few yrs to complete and the total run time is perhaps 90 mins give or take. You are writing dumb and dumber stuff.

I really old. What is Diablo? Now Diablo 3 some more!

Blizzard still keeping some levels and areas for the next expansion pack. That's another round of revenue for them.

Fans disgruntled by error-plagued Diablo 3

SINGAPORE - After more than a decade of anticipation, fans were bitterly disappointed by the amount of problems affecting Diablo 3.

Fans of the popular dark fantasy and horror-themed role-playing game turned out in droves to show their support, with some queuing at Funan DigitalLife Mall as early as a day in advance.

A Stomp contributor wrote: "This is total madness! The queue for Diablo 3 is much worse than that of iPad/iPhone launch!"

"I heard that long lines were already formed outside Funan since yesterday, can't believe that people actually queued for the game for more than 24 hours!"

Yet even after queuing for hours, many of these avid gamers were not even able to get past the loading screen. It seems that Blizzard may have underestimated the sheer number of fans and their servers were unable to cope with the pressure.

Many eager adventurers were greeted with the following message: "The servers are busy at this time. Please try again later. (Error 37)". Apparently, once the servers reached their limit, no one else was able to log on.

Furthermore, since Diablo 3 requires players to be logged in at all times, even whilst playing single-player, the game was effectively unplayable.

Many players took to simply typing their password over and over again, hoping to log in the moment there was room on the server.

However, even those who managed to get past the login screen were faced with a whole suite of problems. The gameplay was plagued with other bugs like Error 300008 or Error 3006, frustrating players to the point of near-insanity.

On the official Diablo 3 website, the most popular forum topics were already those discussing the different errors and how to manage them.

Blizzard, the game's developer, has already swung into action. Servers in North America were taken down for emergency maintenance in order to resolve the issues plaguing the game.

Undergraduate Vincent Wu, 21, was one of those who was unable to log in. He says: "Despite trying repeatedly, I was unable to log in to the Asia server. I finally gave up and logged into the America server.

"I managed to login to the Asia server this morning, but the game still feels very laggy. However, my character was not carried over. Now all the time I invested playing was wasted."

The last game in the series was released in 2001.

You know fuckall about D1, D2 and D3 so keep talking, someday you'll say something intelligent.

You don't play Diablo before or else you will just shut up.

Players in D3 has already reached max level 60 within 48 hours of hardcore gaming and now they can go to Inferno Level play.

It took me years for my Amazon to reach level 97 being a casual player in D2. Even hardcore gamers took a very long time to be at level 99 which is maxed.

I was apprehensive about buying the game waiting for inputs from those who play. So far in this forum no one who is playing is saying much. In other forums they are giving D3 a thumbs down. Looks like I will not be buying after all.

In the end D3 is all about reaching level 60 as soon as possible to farm for unique stuff and sell them for real cash.

Depends on what skills you have on and the poison resistant. I use a decoy plus my Amazon Assistant and full complement of Purple Potions. Need to run and drink a lot of full purples. BTW I play Hardcore and not not nitemare.

I find it quite easy if you have a long range skill and a decoy. Try using the Witch Doctor and u will know. So far been quite easy. Not sure about later stages.

Assume you are referring to D2. Necromancers are not difficult to play. Mine was like level 77 and I play all high level characters including Barbies, Paladins and Druids.
