My next question is why even test for cases if you are not going to do contact tracing and do isolation anymore?

Just test for covid only if it makes a difference in clinical decision making. Eg we need to know what the possible causes for this patient's respiratory failure. Covid is a possibility. Ok test for it. If covid we treat as per whatever treatment protocol for covid. If influenza. If step pneumonia. If Meliodosis. If Mycoplasma pneumonia. if P carinii (I think they may have changed the name of this one liao but I dunno). etc.
