How about this: find a gently used one (when you can production was interrupted) . say 50K. Get a clear 3M bra for the front to take care of the rock chips. Drive it and enjoy. Performance as fast as a Ferrari 458/488. After 1or2 year go to carmax or vroom or carvana and sell for almost what you paid. Total cost might be very low for such an experience. Just thinking here.

I miss that car. I thought it would be my sports car for life. I put in quite an effort to zing it.

But well after that experience I realize nothing is forever and certain. So forget it. No point. Bad things can happen. So only get rubbish crap practical stuff. No attachments.

It was a hit and run. Happened at 6am outside my house. Neighbor heard the bang. I was asleep.

I never captured video of it hitting my car. I also couldn't get plate numbers from the videos from neighbors of the vehicle driving past their house at that time.

But I did find out who did it. They got rid of their dodge grand caravan.

I informed police but they said they cannot do anything without actual footage and did not bother to talk to the culprits. They were airbnb renters at a place down the road. China owners. The owner said only got first name Max. No last name.

Police also said likely they have no insurance anyway. So no point catching them.

In Alberta you can show insurance when renewing car registration then cancel insurance the next day and police doesnr know registry doesnr check. Then next renewal just get insurance again and repeat cancellation the next day. Very common apparently

Oh well.

Police are useless. I am all for defunding police.

REUTERS: Tesla Inc has signed a three-year pricing deal with Japan's Panasonic Corp relating to the manufacture and supply of lithium-ion battery cells at the Gigafactory in Nevada, the electric carmaker disclosed in a filing on Tuesday.

Tesla and Panasonic have been reported to be in talks to expand the battery joint venture's capacity.

Panasonic hinted in May that it was working to develop new batteries with Tesla, possibly with higher capacity.

Tesla said the deal, signed last week and effective April 1, 2020, sets the terms for production capacity commitments by Panasonic and purchase volume commitments by Tesla over the first two years of the agreement.

Tesla also amended the general terms and conditions of its partnership with Panasonic, modifying the term to expire 10 years after Panasonic achieves certain manufacturing milestones.

Panasonic is no longer Tesla's exclusive battery supplier, but has been able to turn around the U.S. joint battery business as demand for Tesla's electric cars soar.

Last month, Tesla reported its third consecutive quarterly profit despite the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic, taking investors by surprise.

And the owners being from PRC - well just adds to the frustration. At least your insurance kicked in. But still. Ouch. Bummer.

My insurance wouldn't cover at all cos I only had 3rd party collision. So my own car they wont cover.

Anyway my wife says I have saved money. Cos over the next few years will save more money on sons insurance while building his driving history. Corolla wasnt worth much anyway already 9 years old with 100k + km.

P.E. is sky high. But at least it's no longer a nonsense number with a negative denominator like most tech companies are. Tell me since you're here. Do you believe in the sky high valuations that tech companies usually get with the string of losses they accrue? Personally, I never thought of Amazon as an investment because it WAS always in the red, but it eventually made it into the black a year and a bit ago.
