No more queues at LVMH store in Paris.

You can buy same ones direct from factories in China that made them.

So China did not copy these items. They simply manufacture it and big brands sold it for huge profits.

Keep mocking, China's economy will roll back to the pre-WTO days.

If China plays punk, it will roll back to Mao's era or the stone age.

[SINGAPORE] The Republic’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) slipped into contractionary territory in Q1 2025 for the first time since Q1 2024, the latest OCBC SME Index report released on Wednesday (Apr 16) indicated.

The quarterly index, which tracks the business health and performance of SMEs, fell slightly from 50.7 in Q4 2024 to 49.9.

This follows three consecutive quarters of expansion, which began in Q2 2024. A score above 50 reflects improved business health, while scores below 50 indicate deterioration.

in my industry, Chinese private labels had been making additional units to sell in the past 20+ years. For example, when we order 1000 units, they make 1500 units with the same templates and sell behind the scene.
Rightfully, all of us are mentally-prepared and closed an eye for such nonsense.

However, even for same quality, same production line but maybe not same brand, it takes away the brand experience. Even if they fake the brand, they can't sell much to consumers, worst of all, it is a serious violation of IP rights. Doing so, will only scare OEM customers away for good and attract more tariffs.

IP's are violated in China even by the Government. The most blatant are the Shenyang j-16 fighter which is a carbon copy of Russia's SU-27. After this deal, Russia, stopped selling china any more fighters.

The only ones whom will be hurt, will be the Chinese manufacturers whom produced such goods.....Sadly, such is how the China CCP govt had grievously harmed its own hard working entrepreneurs, misusing them for propaganda TIT FOR TAT measures to avoid NEGOTIATIONS to create a better & fairer trade system for ALL Humankind...

Take the example of the company LVMH that was mentioned, started by the ThreadStarter.

1. Louis Vuitton TOOK centuries to build up his fashion house, thru his progenies whom were taught in every aspect of quality & management, which he started in 1854 in France. They hired many, but eventually, only the best & those whom can meet the QUALITY standards of Vuitton were made staff of his enterprise.

It is no surprise that his progenies would seek out cheaper or slave labor to produce the kind of Quality that the Founder had demanded back then, & now for higher profits, even at the costs of their own fellow citizens. The Chinese People of 1.4Billion working force population was chosen, & the selected good ones had the unique opportunity to be trained & managed by the best.

2. Most consumers would not had known of such, as each LV good is labelled & serialized which bears the hallmark & standards of LV, & critically, believed to be made by renowned French artisans....until now.

3. With this rather fortunate or unfortunate revelation by the CCP govt of China thru its social media networks, whose intention was to retaliate back at the tariffs, to make consumers know that it was SUPREME Chinese artisans whom made those products & were scammed by paying thousand dollars more than they need to, & strangely enough, they did not mention the hardships & salaries of those Chinese artisans whom were being exploited, being a Communist State with a foundation principle to END exploitation the common masses.....

4. With its call to buy DIRECT from China for such luxury goods, which the insignificant nobody me had supported in order to help the Chinese masses, however, the CCP govt had only made it worse for them with such revelations:-

i) They MUST understand the concept of BRANDING. It took Vuitton & his descendants CENTURIES to build up his brand & customer loyalty in return for quality goods.

ii) For example, consumers Worldwide would not know of Ah Huat Manufacturing or State Number 24 Factory, where those LV trained artisans are employed. Nor had those goods been tested over time to prove as evidence of quality.

Thus for them to simply scream & shout on social media that they too are capable of LV standards, is a joke & will only backfire, as MANY customers had sadly came to know of China's standards on Quality, from a mere footwear to an EV car........

I wish them all the best, & may those enterprises there focus on quality & branding, with evidences & building of trust in dealing direct with consumers, in China & Worldwide. That's how to save the many numerous factories that are closing down, running away & save the jobs of the Chinese People whom are only our fellow Humans & would need for honest work to put food on the table for their loved ones, regardless of who rules the nation...,

Perhaps better yet.....

May those hardworking Chinese Entrepreneurs with their well trained artisans, should they had saved up enough funds or by investors whom had trusted & seen evidences of their work, MOVE to USA instead to manufacture & sell, where there are NO tariffs for any goods made in USA or exported Worldwide, with a level playing field under Free Market conditions where no monopolies are allowed....after what those Chinese entrepreneurs & workers had seen what their own Nation had done to them, not just in present but over years after the end of the brutal Qing dynasty.....

USA is open to legal migrants & those whom can contribute to society honestly & constructively, as it had it had learnt its lessons by mistakes made by many previous WH Administrations....either with green card or work permits....to make America with its sacred Constitution to protect all Humankind, great again.

EVERY Human deserves a chance in life, more so for those whom had seen realities....We are only fellow Humans before any man-made differences separates us, to earn an honest living to put food on the table for loved ones, parents, siblings, relatives, friends & the unfortunate to progress & evolve civilization - fat or thin, white or black, rich or poor, regardless of any race, language, religion or political affiliations......

All these branded goods are scamming their customers. The chinese merely calling it a spade.
The boss of LVMH almost as rich as Elon Musk. Never bothered to lower his goods or share that wealth with China workers.

always knew there are thrift shops in china selling the real stuff at basement prices. some are rejects becos of small defects, can't pass QC but too good to be discarded. Imagine the hypercapitalism that has consumed China and the chinese people.

My reply:-

There is a wise African saying - when elephants FIGHT, it is the grass that gets trampled. What leaders do, they have their own motivations, reasons & excuses.

My only concern or bother is the grass - fellow Humans that got trampled by intransigence of the Elephants - the leaders, refusal to NEGOTIATE for better solutions but to retaliate which only leads to further retaliations by others & fight instead.

Trump started it. It's his ball to make the move. The rest can merely react to whatever he started.
Ukraine maybe biden's war.
But Trump declared war against the ROTW.

A typical Nike shoe that is priced at S$200-S$400 costs only US$2 to produce in a Third World Country like Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.

That is why the West are filthy wealthy and those producing it remain in poverty. The videos broadcast the consumers right to know and use their money wisely.
