Joety, are you using a Thai Driving License or Sg's ?
btw, bro Chonburifc can help chip in too with this question.
I just returned from The Mall, Bangkapi. I beo one sao sao working @ Boots Pharmacy. You know Boots sells everything, including toiletries and cosmetics. The sao sao wore a white long jacket, but I'm not sure if she is a pharmacist. I saw her manning the cashier too.
Do pharmacists man the cash register too ?
Last year not major flood in Bangkok. But flood with red shirt occupy Bangkok.
Hi KYP, I believe she is the pharmacist as they are confirm more senior(graduates) than cashier . Think she is probably helping out when the cashier is not around and most prescribe drugs are directly behind the cashier counter. I also notice they are more commonly known as Chemist instead of pharmacist. Saw one in long white coat with a name tag. It has both her English/Thai name and title indicating Chemist.btw, bro Chonburifc can help chip in too with this question.

For driving license, I am using the Thai ones for car and motorcycle. You can convert your class 2/3 with an International driving permit without taking any theory or practical test. The only test taken is eye test. All you need is non-immigrant visa. Joe is right, very useful for identification purpose especially the back of the driving license is your official Thai address. Actually the license is more important for insurance purposes. Legally speaking, you need a Thai driving license if you stay in LOS for more than 3 months.
Officially, not a farmer as this is one of the disallowed occupation for foreigners. Unofficially, both part-time farmer and small investor.Hello ? You are a farmer ?
Must get Channel U to interview you. Singaporean working as farmer in Thailand....:*:
Think my specs similar.:p
Thailand have no classification for motorbikes. With a TH motorcycle license, you can ride anything from Honda wave 125 to Harley Fat Boy.
Regarding the need of DL, it's more for insurance purpose rather than the law. First, if you are staying in LOS for less than 3 months, your SG license is valid. If more than 3 months, you need your IDL. The easiest way to solve this problem legally is too leave LOS and return so that will 'reset' your initial qualifications. For example, if you exit LOS every 3 months, your SG driving license is valid even if you exit for 1 day.
Think this is too troublesome, try to get it converted. I think you can give it a try at the Land Transport Ministry if you can proof you are a long term resident in LOS. Even students on ED-VISA also qualified so I don't see why they don't allow you to convert.
