Bangkok Runroaders, are you ready for the worst flood come next week ?

Joe, if not wrong, most of the sip lors (10 wheels lorries) in BKK are fully booked. You might want to contact one of these transport companies (10 wheel or trailers) for standby. They are the king now because only sip lors and trailers can pass through most roads affected by the flood.

My pickup is now in workshop after trip from Prachin buri. :(

Thanks buddy for your advise. We had moved a lot of stuff to the second floor of our warehouse. I must thank my partner to have designed or ware house with 2 floors. Only machines is not able to move. So the front line of defense is our wall and the pumps. Nevertheless we have our own siplor siting on our carpark waiting for any eventuality.

Actually what do you (or they) mean when it's said that water is 3m high ? Does it mean water has infiltrated into the 2nd storey ?

Normally when they say the height of the water it literally means the height of the water from the ground to the surface of the water. About 2nd storey it depends very much the design our 2nd storey is pretty high because its a warehouse about 4m.

Bro, I cannot imagine the water is 3m high. It reminds me of the old Farrer Park swimming pool and Toa Payoh diving pool. Scary leh.

Tell you the truth, I have not any good sleep past 2 weeks. Wake up in the middle of the night thinking what more could we do if we are face with the flood

Also by Monday, 2 days ago, everyone was in a very good mood with high hope that the flood is finally over in Bangkok. I even went out to celebrate. Who would have thought in the evening dykes started to burst. Its damn scary man.

Anyway I will still go ahead with my trip to Japan on Friday night. Yes by the time I get back everything would have been over. I am still optimistic that the government will not allow Bangkok to be flooded till roof top like upcountry.

This is what I did today to seal up my house.

Got 3 boys from factory to help me. Also moved all my furniture to the second floor just in case.

Good night guys, its been a long day for me.

so sad for you joetys, hope you are alright.

Thanks singveld. So far I'm alright and very fortunate. Honestly I love this, I love the excitement, love the thought that I may loss somethings, love the fear that I or my properties may be overwhelmed, love sweating out putting up sandbags, I love every moment of it, makes me feel like a real human. This is what life is all about: risks, uncertainties, pains and appreciations. This is what life is all about for me. I will never give all these up for my comfortable and somewhat sterile life back in Singapore.

I just drove through one of the busiest junction in Bangkok, Lak Si Circle, at this time jam should be like 1.5km long but it was virtually free of traffic. Scary isn't it in Bangkok.

Why don't you go today? Today I can assure you it will be ok. Water is coming from Rangsit which is not far away. Today Future is closed because of flooding. Water will hit IT Square next which is just next to Chaeng Wattana.

Bro, too late now. I'm at Thonglor, got to take motorcycle to Thonglor MRT, alight at Mochit and transfer to mini van. A few hours' preparation.
