Nice to find such pretty girls in the seven early eight morning. :)
Who is she?

Sorry to spoil the fun here buddies.

Just got news that Klong 4 at Klong Luang the dyke holding it just bursts and not easy to repair. They may allow my area to flood and fight it downstream so as to save Bangkok. We had been asked to evacuate. The dyke is 5m tall and I cannot fathom 5m of water coming towards us now once the dyke is fully destroyed soon.

Bye bros.

HedgeTrader, quickly go book AirAsia to Bangkok .... come quickly !

Like that I must postpone already :(

Omg...:eek::eek::eek: you take care man....

I go home and pray liao la.

My office is just neighbouring Bangkok. So I go home. Factory is well prepared for 1.5m of water. The Phtunthani people are still fighting the flood to repair the dykes but I heard its not going to be easy.

Latest news is Bangkok University Rangsit campus is already flooded to knee level and climbing.

Joe, can come Pattaya for a short holiday until flood is over. Pattaya so far not affected other than the afternoon rains. Need anything, call me.

I don't want to think so much liao. Come what may, we had made our preparation and let it be. tomorrow will be the day of reckoning. My maid just told be after watching the news that in Future Park in Rangsit the water is bow about 20-30cm. Klong 3 had started flooding and Klong 4 my Klong is possibly next.

Going to sleep now over it now.

Thanks. How about your factory ? Any flood water ?

As mentioned I am in Klong 4. The water is reaching the top now. But amazingly its still holding on. We were told that Klong 5 is in 1m of water and some places 3m. Klong 1 is finished. Klong 2 water has come up to the road. Klong 3 some parts flooded.

Warning given our by authorities for Don Muang and Lak Si areas. My house is just next to these 2 areas.

Actually what do you (or they) mean when it's said that water is 3m high ? Does it mean water has infiltrated into the 2nd storey ?

I still cannot resist asking this question. The sky has been pretty clear for the past two days. The flood is not a result of storm or weather but water being released from dams in the North.

Why did they release the water like a avalanche and not in a gradual manner ? And shouldn't they have released the water during the dry season sometime ago in June ?

The reason I disappeared is because at 11am water started to appear at the front road of factory. Then announcement received that Klong 4 dyke broken so whole day organizing people to be ready to fight. Up till eveming situation still ok but heard very bad new on areas around us. Future is closed by the way and water on Viphavadi Rangsit Road. Heard of 7 districts to get ready for big flood and Bang Khen my home is one of them.

Situation next few days looks very bad in bangkok

To answer your above question may I direct you to these 2 pages

Because, during dry season, water is needed for the farmers in the north, northeast and central. During the dry weather, the farmers complain there is not enough water for their crops. Unfortunately, too much water was kept. The other thing is a lot of land has became concrete and there are less soil to absorb the water.

Releasing gradually does not solve the problem. The outgoing release has to be same or greater than the incoming waters.
