Updates from Klaeng/Rayong. Thai friend's pineapple and rice crops all gone. Some farming machinery and tools also kena looted while he was away. :(

Yesterday lunching with partners and told them I like to buy a rifle for such an occasion to take pop shots at looter if they ever come during floods or unrest. Was advised against because if have sure will want to use it. I said yes of course for such an occasion only. I think I should go Chonburi look for one.

That one I had was very solid like that. But never dressed like that, always in uniform or simple blouse and skirt off duty. But on bed and undressed, no horse run. But the moment she told me she has a husband police colonel, I ran faster than Equalisation horse binya!

And maybe get the rifle for such an occasion too :p

Klaeng/Chantaburi low areas hit by floods.

Just returned from Klaeng, an Amphur in Rayong. Majority of Rayong still OK. Some stretch of roads are flooded to about 1 feet but still passable by car. Other low land agricultural and farming areas are flooded to almost 1 meter, mostly gone case. Crops has been submerged for about 2-3 days and zero chances of recovery even if it stop raining and flood subside as all the roots all decaying.

Some farms were looted. Friend lost 4 high powered pumps and 2 mobile diesel generator and other smaller tools. Mata said they caught a Cambodian worker trying to get out of the village but have no proof as cannot find anything on him. He said he was hired by another Cambodian guy to help move things in the area.

There are also many 6 lor/10 lors (6 wheel and 10 wheel lorries) going around offering evacuation services to the farmers. Containers are also rented out for temporary storage.

Friend and me very sianz after coming back although managed to savage 1 old honda wave and 1 industrial refrigerator and some personal belongings. Another consoltation is the Isuzu dmax highlander pick up I bought last year. Never thought it will become so useful until today.

sigh...really sianz. also don't know how to describe the feeling. This batch of crop I got some share. Pineapple is the worst cos' take 15-18 mths to harvest. Did not heed the elders' advice not to grow pineapples. Lost everything cos' all the pineapples rot oredi. :(

I hope you didn't lose too much money. This is part and parcel of the risk of farming. Just look at the amount of rice lost. Sometimes I feel we owe farmers immense gratitude. Their work is the most important yet they're being paid so little.

Yo Thai bros news just came in, water rising around The Mall Bang Kapi. Reported in 5 hours this mall's surroundings will be completely inaccessible. This is like 12km from my home.

Thamasart University in Patumthani is now hit but still accessible for another 3-5 hours max. This is like 15km from my office and warehouse.

Coming back to my Klong 4. Yesterday I reported 1 more feet. This morning its like half feet. But I believe it is going to burst within today. We had moved valuable goods to the second floor of our warehouse.

Shit...it really looks like the shit has hit the fan. The Mall Bang Kapi ? That means they have allowed Khlong Saen Saep to overflow ? What is going to even to the Supermarket on the basement ?

I hope the news is not real but then my partner will not be fucking around with me because he is a serious guy. Ys love the supermarket because the seafood is great and lots of imported stuffs. My partner is asking me to go home now. I ordered 150 sandbags this morning I wonder if it will ever come.
