A company of border patrol police in Phitsanulok managed to break through a red-shirt blockade that had sealed off the access road to their camp in Muang district, preventing them from travelling to Bangkok, the Bangkok Post reported. After five hours of being blockaded, trucks with border patrol police on board managed to leave the Chao Phraya Chakri camp after a 10-minute clash between baton-wielding police and the protesters, the newspaper said.​
