once again, we choked at the crucial stage...like that Asian-cup qualifier, we also choked.
I will shrug and say ok, lets pick ourselves up and try harder if its a team of local lads - its okay...we don't give up.
But, we pump the team with FTs and yet they don't deliver - WTF. So what now FAS? More FTs? Back to the drawing board?
Yes, we regressing indeed, the local shit league is becoming an entertainment for punters and foreign workers only. And when FAS withdrew from M League, they claim they are to develope and bring our soccer forwards...have we took off from the starting line already? Or after so many years, we are still warming up?
Previous whipping boys - Laos, Mynmar and Vietnam are catching up. Even Philippines are giving us a run for our money...and if we look at the amount of funds and attention given by the governments there - they are almost non- existent. And we, pumping so much resources, still never achieve anything...
Please don't tok about the previous Cup wins loh, the last one, was kelong ok, very obviously so. The one before also kelong de...similarly, if we have proven ourselves worthy winners,..have we overall gone further?
We keep talking about winning a SEA games medal...where is it? We talk about WC 2010...ok, put one side, we dream too high.
FAS, you got to wake up your bloody idea. Your Shit league is not working...inviting foreign teams to play does not in any way raise the standard of local football. You even choose to omit a local team in favor of another foreign team when you expand the league teams. Have it bore fruits for you?
Bring back the Malaysia cup days...play against the Malaysian states - like that the players are more motivated, the fans will come. And send 2 teams instead...one main team and one feeder, like that you have a crop of 20 - 30 players playing regularly and you can groom talents from there. Singapore is so small, we are not a sporting nation (compared to Denmark who have about the same population). We don't need a local league.
Like that, the fans will pack the stadium, you have money in the coffers. Come on, now that SIN-Mudland relationship is hot, strike a deal...gosh, i miss those Malaysia Cup days...u really feel patriotic shouting "referee kayu"
