Re: KLM to stop from TPE - BKK from 26 March 101

Pattaya should always remains as it is. That's the true and unadulterated nature of Sin City. Anyone can give Pattaya any name; sleazy, backward, third world, dirty, messy, dangerous or whatever names one can think of, just don't turn it into another artificial tourist destination.

Still enjoying this unreal place.:D

Re: A Singaporean's guide to living in Thailand ? Feasible?

BTW, I experienced an earthquake this morning @ 10.34 am. Lasted about 10 seconds. About 6.1 on Richter Scale. I stay on 7th floor.

Quite scary....

Re: A Singaporean's guide to living in Thailand ? Feasible?

Bro, able to gauge the takeover fees and monthly rent ?
Depending on location, takeover fee can be from THB 200K to THB 2 million for a small (30-50 SQM) area. For popular areas, owners will require annual 'key money' aka "Pek Jia" which can be anything from 100K to 500K. The monthly rent is usually cheap, THB 8K - 12K.

Usually, owner will include their alcohol license in the takeover. If not, you will need to apply for one using Thai name and this can take a long time.

Gentlemen (joeyts, Chon, KYP & YY)

Can you please put a caveat on this thread. Its highly addictive following this thread and it is taking too much of my time and I suspect that of others. Its eating into my time of writing rubbish in SBF.

Ps. Keep it coming, highly readable, very informative and I feel i know Thailand a little better. Also take off my hat to all those who are not afraid to seek out their fortune on far shores and in alien territory. A lesson to many.

Please don't take us seriously. We're just a bunch of quitters who could not take the heat from that 89 year old mother-fucker and his gay son and lesbian daughter-in-law. The grass is definitely NOT greener where we are hiding so please don't come over. Its definitely a terrible place in Thailand because we don't have talented government to manage our money so we have to be very careful with 100% of what we earned. We also don't have smart organisations like NTUC to challenge us in what we do here so we are very wear and need some spurs in our asses. Also the property prices here is too low for the rich Singaporeans to be interested in and oh yes you're gonna miss Singapore food because Thai food is boring. Also you may have too much time to spare with your family that you feel bored with them and end up in bath houses. So please don't listen to us to much as we envy you guys in such a challenging place that we found ourselves too weak to cope with and ended up as quitters. You see today is my 4th day here in our great country Singapore and I'm already feeling so out of place that I can't wait to get back to my more unchallenged comfort zone. Cheers fellas.

The earthquake was nearer to Kaoshiung, and the epicenter is only 4 km deep. It must have scared the shit out of KS residents.

Joe, when is your next trip to KS ? Last week of March ?

My KS friends told me PinDong slightly south of KS felt the strongest.

I planned to be there from 11th to 15th for this trade show - http://www.fastenertaiwan.com.tw/

You in ROC that period?
