【星島日報報道】（星島日報報道）本港旅行團在秘魯豪華酒店遇武裝分子殺人洗劫，《巴士的報》獨家訪問到遇事港團友，親述導遊為救團員，引開悍匪而遭槍殺；該團友想起事發時生死一刻，至今仍膽戰心驚，有如死過翻生，一度哽咽落淚，更指遇害導遊是英雄，部分團友自發捐款給死者遺孤。
秘魯導遊犧牲性命救了兩港人旅行團共四十一人。歷劫生死的其中一名港人團友姓周，洋名Michael，與太太、兒子及姨仔一行四人，參加捷旅假期二十七天中南美洲旅行團，事發本周二晚（當地時間）為旅程第六天，捷旅假期及尊賞假期的兩個香港旅行團共四十一人，連續兩晚入住亞馬遜森林附近的Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica酒店。
當晚捷旅團友及領隊二十人在酒店餐廳用膳，尊賞假期部分團員已離開餐廳，但仍有數名團友和數名外國旅客留下，餐廳約有三十人。
已工作了十多年的當地導遊萊昂，翌日準備帶團員到亞馬遜雨林遊覽，當晚首次認識團員，事發時萊昂正與四至五名酒店職員在接持處，突有十七名槍手闖入打劫。
據Michael了解，該批賊人除洗劫酒店，更打算向每名住客行劫，萊昂知道旅客有危險，雖被歹徒持槍挾持，仍趁他們搜掠時偷走，到餐廳通知團友。
「佢同我們講發生打劫，要我們熄燈疏散。」Michael接受《巴士的報》獨家訪問時說，他指感到萊昂當時好緊張，但仍保持鎮定，還不斷安慰團友，並指示各人到較安全的廚房躲避，沿途更要各人趴在地上前行，以免被匪徒發現。
其後，匪徒知道萊昂向旅客通風報信，到餐廳找尋，萊昂為保護旅客，便引開匪徒到餐廳附近的禮品店。Michael稱：「我見萊昂離開後即傳來多響槍聲，再未見他回來。」
各團友一直在廚房等候，感到時間十分漫長，直至警察趕來才知道萊昂已被槍殺。據Michael了解，槍手洗劫整家酒店後，原準備向旅客行劫，但因殺了萊昂，才改變計畫撤退。Michael講到此處開始哽咽，更流出眼淚，「今次有如死過翻生，萊昂是大英雄，他犧牲性命，救了全部團友！」
另一女團員Gloria形容經歷；「真係好似拍戲咁！」當團友知道萊昂為救大家被殺後，心里很難過，不少人更哭泣落淚。「我們都視萊昂為救命恩人，他遺下妻子及三名年幼子女，兩個旅行團的導遊及部分團友，都自發捐錢給其家人，以表達心意。」事發後，當地派出多名持槍警員到酒店駐守，並隨團保護兩個旅行團在當地活動。該兩個旅行團會完成餘下行程，至下月十二日一同返港。

【星島日報報道】秘魯東部亞馬遜雨林有2個香港旅行團共41人入住的酒店，遭到黑幫持槍洗劫，事件中有2人死亡，包括1名當地導遊，全部香港團友沒有傷亡。旅遊業議會已通知入境處及中國駐秘魯大使館尋求協助。中國駐秘魯大使館公布，沒有中國籍遊客在事件中傷亡。

其中捷旅假期兩名團友分別被搶去護照及手提電話，該名被搶護照團友正滯留當地，補辦證件，期望趕及與其餘團友集合，否則將要從秘魯直接返港；而尊賞假期全部團友亦已繼續行程。
搶劫發生在當地星期二晚上8時20分左右，約10名武裝歹徒闖入印加特拉酒店，當時有53名外國遊客下榻酒店，其中包括41名來自香港旅行團的中國籍遊客。歹徒殺害了一名秘魯當地導遊並搶奪財物後逃離。
中國駐秘魯大使館啟動應急機制，立即聯繫秘魯警方、事發酒店以及當地旅行社等。據使館領事部透露，截至目前，沒有中國籍遊客在此次事件中傷亡，僅有1人護照被搶。
