验尸官星期三（4月16日）针对死者的死因发表研讯结论，裁定这是一起交通意外。
这起致命车祸发生在2024年3月3日早上7时许，地点在蔡厝港环道和蔡厝港通道的T字型路口，朝往德惠道方向的路段。不幸丧命的工程师是29岁的萧翰言。
根据研讯结论，案发路段有两条车道。案发当天下着大雨，地面湿滑，视线可能受到影响。
案发时，23岁女子蔡悦琳开车载送男友和男友的兄弟回家，男友坐在副驾驶座，兄弟则坐后座。蔡悦琳当时在左边车道行驶，在案发路段撞上了从右边越过马路的死者。死者当场被撞飞，落在相等于三至三辆半车子距离外的马路上。
根据蔡悦琳的口供，她在前一晚与男友等人一同吃宵夜，期间没有喝酒。她在用餐结束后利用导航开车送男友和男友兄弟回家，事发时交通灯亮着绿灯，周围也没有其他车辆。
蔡悦琳说，她在事发前有看到死者过马路，他原本已经停在两条车道中间，却在车子继续往前行驶时突然冲过马路。她刹车不及撞上死者，过后立刻下车查看死者情况。
事发后经过车祸现场的一名休班警员说，他见到蔡悦琳的车子开着双闪灯停在路边，于是下车协助。得知三人没叫救护车后，他于是拨电传召救护车和报警。他查看死者情况时，发现死者没有反应，但仍有呼吸。
蔡悦琳在救护车离开后，把车开到蔡厝港2道的停车场停放，然后出门办事。她称自己不清楚在发生车祸后必须把车留在现场，所以才会把车开走；关于交通灯是否亮着绿灯，男友与蔡悦琳的说法一致，男友的兄弟则说当时在看手机，不清楚经过。由于附近的电眼没有直接拍到交通灯，因此当局无法确定交通灯事发时亮着哪个颜色的灯。
另外，查案人员根据电眼画面推断，蔡悦琳在案发时没有超速；到场警员也没发现蔡悦琳身上有酒气。路过的休班警员也说，当时蔡悦琳走路平稳、口齿清晰，脸部也没有发红。
警方在调查后排除他杀的可能。

The coroner on Wednesday (April 16) issued an inquest into the cause of death of the deceased, ruling it was a traffic accident.
The fatal car accident occurred at around 7 a.m. on March 3, 2024, at the T-shaped intersection of the Cai Cuo Port Ring Road and the Cai Cuo Port Passage, heading for the section of the road in the direction of Dehui Road. The engineer who died was 29-year-old Xiao Hanyan.
According to the findings, there are two lanes on the road, and it was raining heavily on the day of the crime, the ground was slippery and the view may have been affected.
At the time of the crime, 23-year-old woman Cai Yuelin drove her boyfriend and boyfriend's brother home, her boyfriend was sitting in the passenger seat, and her brother was sitting in the back seat. Cai Yuelin was driving in the left lane and hit the deceased who crossed the road from the right on the crime section. The victim was hit and flew on the spot and landed on a road equal to three and a half vehicles away.
According to Cai Yuelin's statement, she had a late-night snack with her boyfriend and others the night before, during which she did not drink. She used navigation to drive her boyfriend and boyfriend's brother home after the meal, with traffic lights on and no other vehicles around.
Cai Yuelin said she saw the dead cross the road before the incident, he had parked in the middle of two lanes, but the car continued to drive suddenly across the road. She couldn't brake enough to hit the victim, and then immediately got out of the car to check on the victim.
After the incident, a off-duty police officer who passed the scene of the accident said he saw Cai Yuelin's car parked on the side of the road with double flashing lights, so he got out of the car to assist. After learning that the three had not called an ambulance, he dialed the call for an ambulance and called the police. When he checked the victim's condition, he found that the victim did not respond, but was still breathing.
The police ruled out him being killed
The deceased was later taken to hospital for rescue because of a serious head injury and died at about 11 a.m. on March 6. His family said that the deceased went out alone on the day of the crime, to go to the Cai Cuo Port Military Association fitness.
After the ambulance left, Cai Yuelin drove to the parking lot of Cai Cuo Port 2 and went out to do business. She said she did not know that she had to leave the car at the scene after the accident, so she drove it away; about whether the traffic lights were green, her boyfriend and Cai Yuelin agreed, and her boyfriend's brother said that he was looking at his phone and did not know what was going on. Since nearby electric eyes did not directly capture traffic lights, authorities were unable to determine which color the traffic lights were on at the time of the incident.
In addition, the investigators inferred from the electric eye picture that Cai Yuelin was not speeding at the time of the crime; the police officers who arrived did not find Cai Yuelin's body had alcohol. Passing by off-duty police officers also said that Cai Yuelin walked smoothly, clear mouth and teeth, and did not redden her face.
Police ruled out his possible killing after an investigation.
