I would definitely join if there is a more stable forum. At the current state, I doubt there would be much difficulties to do better than here, all that is required is for people to start new thread.

So who is starting?

I started one already (see signature below) as backup. Free and stable. Less bells and whistles compared to a paid site like this but certainly more than good enough for simple open chit-chatting. Delphi has been around for more than a decade. Couldn't get as free and stable than that. In fact, I understand Leongsam migrated here from Delphi when everything was alright, he chose to pay and own it. Bad mistake for all, IMHO.

From the early days during it's infancy i have seen people trying to steal traffic but have yielded zero success. I have also noticed many newbies signed up recently with foreign nicks. They are just trying to cash in on sam's problem.

New host... new server..... same old shit forum minus some data! Sorry about that.

The previous host is playing dumb but I have a feeling they mixed up the databases when they moved from one IP address to another.

After a couple of days of arguing, I decided I was getting nowhere and have now moved everything from hostican.com to reliablehosting.com and start afresh. If you can see this message, it means that the old IPs have been flushed from the cache. This can take up to 48 hours.

It will keep on going to the main page. This is why I stop going to 3in1. Waste of time. It is as unstable as the Malay barber in my neighbourhood, it is open when the idiot's mood is good. And he is still wondering why his business is no good.

Leongsam migrated to here from Delphi because of pressure put on him by certain forummers like Scroobal. At that time, there was a plethora of flame wars going on and traffic was slowing. The idea was to revive the forum by moving away from delphi and imposing a new set of rules and regulations.

That has worked to some extent.

But with the recent events, i seriously doubt Leongsam's ability to hold things together.

Banning for nicks started in 2006. A few vocal SDP supporters started being banned first. Then it was followed by WP supporters. Each side accused each other, and then after that, traffic started to go down.

I guess this was part of the reason why Scroobal demanded that leongsam make the switch.

I see. Thanks for the info. I heard a summary something like that from Ramseth too. I was no Dephi veteran in old Sammyboy days. But navigating through Delphi in the past week, I think it's alright. Not as glossy as this (of course, it's free) but it's alright, servicing all basic purposes of forumming. I tried 3in1Koptiam @ Delphi too. It imposes moderation and waiting time for new forummers. That's why I started the new backup.
