You still don't get my drift. She preferred it there.

Don't make her feel like suffering at home just to exhibit our sense of responsibility and filial piety. Don't care what others may think or say. Her wish was paramount.

i have said many times ...and i will say it the last time ....NO OLD FOLKS WANTED TO STAY IN NURSING HOMES . i will rest my case now , since you insisted your folks prefers to stay in homes ....i will let other brothers to come in here and share their views ....going to eat now .

Your point of view is noted with thanks. I hope that you pardon and accommodate me and others for disagreeing. I'm not saying it's a must or even necessarily preferred whether by the elderlies themselves or their children. I'm just saying it's an option that may become the last option or even a preferred option according to different circumstances. I accept that you disagree with me, you're entitled to your point of view and belief for yourself, but certainly not for others, unless you want to be a preacher or politician.

i really hope after watching those video ..will keep you thinking maybe shed some tears ...no matter how old or how sick our parents is ....we cant just dump them in nursing home ......cheers .

No parents will 'prefer' old folks home if they can be with their family or loved ones.

The only reason why they said they 'prefer' it is because they don't want their loved ones to feel bad or they don't want to be a burden to their family. Parents will always sacrifice themselves rather than impose on children.

And the only reason why you keep insisting that it was her preferred option is so that you don't have to feel guilty.
