The country will never throw out the PAP unless they are sure that there is proper alternative to replace it. I doubt there is appetite to replace the PAP but there is great desire to bring it to account, be responsive to the locals and address a series of poor judgements such the appointment of the PM's wife in Temasek, the removal of his relatives, and be fair to the properly elected members of the opposition.
In addition the PAP needs to lose their 2/3rd majority in parliament before they come to their senses.
There is momentum built by WP and this should be incentive for good quality candidates to join the WP or form new and credible parties.
You are right but that's b4 AiM, Plamergate, CNB, 6.9 & the List goes on.... when you live in a country where foreigners are the majority populations and when you need to serve NS but jobs and Universities educations are sponsored & given priority to foreigners & U gotta sell you house or car or get a huge loan from Banks to send your kids to overseas Uni..
And when you get to 55 your CPF was extended to 65 and you don't have a say for your own money to be opt out but forced to be left there and even that when you try to buy expensive medicine for some Gastritis ($300/mth) you cannot use medisave unlike your cholesterol medicine ($30/mth) they explain that only cheap medicine is listed under medisave claimable category. You know your country's law and morale has gone to the dogs.
IF lets say from tmr suddenly Parliament is dissolved SG will run as per normal, its run by common people, Civilians not MiWs or any Partly.
Its all fear mongering & Propaganda.
But that's just all my hearsay and its probably not true, I LOVE PAP, I SUPPORT PAP !
Majulah Singapore !
(Woah that last 2 sentences should be my permanent Signature in future.....)
Cheers !
