if i quote something from the bible, or i say something from my point of view....they start saying, you God meh? how do you know?
very strange...i neber claimed i am god, i am just an insignificant nobody on earth...what do they think this way?
I think that is a very insensitive retort to use - "You God meh? How do you know?" Unfortunately, this results from too many Christians wantonly quoting Scripture left-right to the unconverted - and more often than not with the holier-than-thou smug look.
This is a subconscious defensive response, designed to shut you up for good in a confrontational way. The more tactful will say "I think this conversation would be better if we leave out religion for now, and moreover, I enjoy chatting with you as a person first, Christian second."
Also, whenever you quote Scripture to assert a point, you are quintessentially evangelizing. By asserting a point, you assert the correctness of the Scripture, and therefore implying that Christianity is the correct path.
Remember, there are always bad eggs around, and they will always give a stink whenever they crack open. However, before you quote Scripture in the future, please put yourself in the other person's shoes and see if they will appreciate it.
Always prove yourself as a worthy human being first, before proving yourself as a worthy Christian.
