Why Have Children In SG?

Yesterday, I managed to have high tea with three of my NUS classmates. They are all married and are highly successful in their careers. All four of us had a good time fellowshipping and catching up with our personal lives. Invariably we discussed abt SG politics and social issues.

All four of us are married without children. Except me, the other three deliberately choose not to conceive for the following reasons:

1. Why bring their children into SG to suffer?
2. They abhor the SG Education system
3. They dislike the stress singaporeans face in SG
4. They detest the bad policies of the pap
5. They dont want their sons to be NS slaves to protect self-serving politicians, PRs and newly minted Singaporeans
6. They detest the way Singaporeans are discriminated and disadvantaged in SG
7. There is no quality of life in SG for Singaporeans

They shared that they take precautions to avoid getting pregnant. I cautioned them that taking precautions mean that their hubbies are denied full romance, satisfaction , enjoyment and fulfilment. I urged them to go all out to let their hubbies enjoy them and if they do get pregnant to migrate with their children. We should not allow bad pap policies to affect our love lives.

I think at the end of our high tea session, we will have three happier Singapore men and Singapore still does not get improved fertility rate from the four of us.

it's so sad that because many young singaporeans disagree with pap policies and dont want to conceive, they took birth control precautions at the expense of enjoying their loved lives

Who suffer? Clearly, these 3 women pushing the 'suffering' issue to the 'children' is irresponsible. Gotcha.

Either these 3 women continue to cowardly complain till they are on their deathbed in Singapore or do something about it, ie. migrate to a 'green pasture'. Chances are, due to their complaining nature, your 3 friends will never be satisfy and will likely to complain the rest of their life, wherever they are.

Guess what, the ones that actual suffer are their husbands, assuming that these 3 friends of yours are real.

some gals find security in wealth and try to get and keep as much money as possible from their husband. Many dont mind her husband looking for another gal as long as he gives her money. that was her basis for security and marriage.

my philosophy is very different. i find that as long as I look good for him, satisfy him willingly and completely, he will not want to lose me. it's a win-win situation

Know someone who had 6 kids & has no regrets about it. However it was only possible because he became a Canadian Anyone who's ever been to Canada can tell you about their pro people & family policies.

Something that is lacking in Spore. If you are old or sick, that's your own bizniss Just make sure you have enough $$$$ outside of your CPF, because it's unlikely you will be allowed to touch it :(
