not all chinese singaporeans support israel. most of my close friends dont.

i dont have answers cos i dont profess to be an expert in arabian or israeli politics. i certainly dont care about the religion part cos i feel that the world is not a better place with religion being used widely as a political (or money-making for that matter) tool. but using what little common sense i have, i have some niggling questions that doesnt seem to go away:

1. the arabs and muslims r traditionally peaceful people. why do they suddenly take up arms against christians, the jews and the US? could it be that these people actually tried to launch crusade after crusade against them, tried to take over their countries (and land), tried to steal their oil and discredit their way of life???

2. i know of some jews in the course of my work. why do they insist on putting down prophet mohammad??? isnt he 1 of the 4 prophets??? it could be that i suggested them that i felt he is the most powerful of all the prophets. i have this niggling feeling that this issue has been biting at the jews for a long, long, long time. i know i m speaking the truth about mohammad, thus why dont they just live with it and not try to bully others who dont conform with u??? oh, yes... the jews i know r really conniving and they cant take losses (especially to asians) very well. they need to win at everything. very unhealthy, i felt, for one to win at any cost. i know of this cos i beat them at work and more so, at basketball when i was working in the states. bcos of that, those jewish guys practised shooting hoops everyday after work. and when they finally won a game off us asians on the 6th try, they stopped playing with us for good.

3. i always believe that there is no smoke without fire. hamas knows they cant match israel's firepower. but they still went ahead. why is that so??? dont they know that resistance is futile. could it be much more than national pride??? i dont know much about land to begin with. why did israel cede land to the palestinians??? was it theirs to give in the 1st place???

sorry i only have questions which would probably cloud this ongoing discussion even more. but there is 1 thing i know. the press can be manipulated. figures can be massaged. history (and even religion in the context of emperor constantine) is dictated by victors and thus, warped. dont believe everything u see or hear. dont take their word for it. sit down and ask yourself questions, using your own common sense. the lies will fall like dominoes once u do that.

from yr highlighting of my words, i need to clarify:

1. i m chinese.

2. from facts, i see islam as a peaceful religion, unlike christianity. until the end of the 2nd world war, the muslim countries were not really engaged to the world. they just went about minding their own business. but who doesnt fight back when provoked???

3. mohammad is the most powerful prophet, period. i shouldnt have said "i felt" in my last post. numbers should prove it. islam is the biggest religion in the world.

but i agree with u on subterfuge. hitler never died. cos i see him at work on tv, every single day.

I did not go through your entire post but this caught my eye. Do u know the history of islam and how it spread?

How did it come to SEA and become dominant in the malay archipelago? After a series of JIhads in this region did it become dominant. They use violence to achieve their aim. Almost everywhere.

Many Americans especially european ones know their ancestry very well. There are quite a number of them with mixed polish, Italian, german, irish etc and they do know which grandparent comes from which ethnic group for example.
