NSF driver is to be paid SG driver's pay.
NSF storeman is to be paid SG storeman pay
NSF medic is to be paid Nurses pay
NSF doctor is to be paid MO's pay
NSF clerk is to be paid admin assistant pay

The pap can legislate and compel SG guys to do NS..but the pap shd not short change SG guys by paying them slave rates

I did not serve the PAP when doing my NS. I was serving my country and my fellow citizens and doing my part to protect them and their children. That probably includes you.
The SAFRA membership and the token $50 is my country's way of showing their appreciation. Again, it has nothing to do with the PAP.
The PAP is not Singapore and Singapore is not the PAP.
I hope that SG guys regain their honour and courage and vote against the pap at the next GE for the injustice done to them.

You may not need protection at the moment but when I was doing my NS, it was a different story and we took our training very seriously.
Saboteurs had succeeded in blowing up parts of Singapore just a couple of years prior and I didn't want to have to witness body parts of my fellow citizens being scraped off the sidewalk on a regular basis.

The bombs killed 3 innocent Singaporeans and seriously injured many others. You call that propaganda? Your callous attitude towards a whole generation of Singaporeans who lived through dangerous and uncertain times is absolutely disgusting.
I think ICT, they are already paid as such except those self-employed ones who under-declared their income tax, they are big losers. All those service positions you mentioned above will probably be filled by regulars as the cost is the same.

There is no exact benchmark for fighting soldiers. So I guess they will use the closest proxy - that of a trainee security guard. All in all, I am not very hopeful any good thing will come out of this, knowing our govt.

To further clarify this, you should set up a special charity fund where you put in all your NS gifts from the Govt (the SAFRA membership, you should keep it for yourself but monetarise it and add to the fund). As forummers are very worried about their identities being leaked, all points transaction should be done through deduction from this account. But you must devise a way for points to be transferred from this pool to needy forummers.
