On the contrary, some those retired around me love the incumbent very much. Like a parasite, they collect handouts in Singapore, see doctors in Singapore while running away from family responsibilities in Singapore by hiding in JB. These good-for-nothings like to brag, talk big about their lives in Malaysia and dutifully return to Singapore during CNY to collect angpaos.

My retired neighbours have also passive income in Singapore, eg. renting out their HDB wholly illegally and spend time in Malaysia. Sometimes, they will ask me to help them keep letters that their tenants received. Some working in civil service, can spend at least 4 days in JB a week with their stable job and 2-days "WFH", collect their lazada malaysia purchases and bring them back to Singapore, along with groceries.

The SG Govt will soon force S'poreans to toe the line by introducing the "full stomach rule" to supplement the current 3/4 tank rule, so more of us will be discouraged from spending on food and petrol in JB.
