Bullets Fly in “Flying Tiger 3” Finale

1649074897614.png

Similar to recent Shaw Brothers web series, the ensemble cast boasts some of Hong Kong’s top television stars. Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), and Eddie Cheung (張兆輝) continue to anchor the series, with Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Moses Chan (陳豪), Roger Kwok (郭晉安), Oscar Leung (梁競徽), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Michael Wong (王敏德), Elaine You (姚子羚), Jeannie Chan (陳瀅), and Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) also starring.

The story revolves around an international terrorist ring which wants to leverage the DH2 virus as a powerful bioweapon. Roger portrays a microbiologist who accidentally created the virus years ago, and is targeted by the terrorists to mass produce the DH2.

In the finale, Oscar Leung’s character is seen escaping with a DH2 mutant, which was developed after experimenting on fugitives on a deserted island. When humans are injected with the mutant virus, they lose all their senses and behave like violent zombies. The SDU arrive to retrieve the DH2 mutant. As the bullets fly, Bosco’s character is injected with the virus and nearly loses his life….

With choreographed action scenes, daring stunts, and many highly visual impacts, Flying Tigers 3 ends with a bang. Cementing the trilogy has been Bosco and Ron’s brotherhood and their contrast in personalities, which is one of the highlights of the series.

Bosco Wong and Ron Ng Tease Nancy Wu for Her Mature Looks

Shaw Brothers’ police-themed drama, ICAC Attack <廉政狙擊·黑幕>, had completed filming last year and is awaiting broadcast. It stars Bosco Wong (黃宗澤), Ron Ng (吳卓羲), Vincent Wong (王浩信), Shaun Tam (譚俊彥), Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Mandy Wong (黃智雯), Rosina Lam (林夏薇), and Sisley Choi (蔡思貝).

The last time Bosco, Ron, and Nancy collaborated together in a drama was in Triumph in the Skies <衝上雲霄>. Although it has been more than a decade since their last collaboration, the trio still remain friendly and often banter with one another on set.

Known for their horse playing, Ron and Bosco did not shy away from teasing Nancy in front of the camera. In an earlier interview, Ron expressed, “Nancy portrays Bosco’s elder sister [in the drama]. She can’t play his younger sister anymore.” Bosco added, “We need to tell her to maintain herself better!”

Rather than getting offended, Nancy instead played along and said, “No one wants to be my boyfriend, but would rather be my son. Do all the men think I am very maternal?”

Standing next to fellow costars Mandy, Sisley, and Rosina, Nancy looked the most mature and gave off a “big sister” vibe among the group. Netizens criticized Nancy’s recent pixie cut for aging her tremendously. Despite this, some praised Nancy’s new look as giving an air of dominance. As the actress’ image has become more mature, she also continues tackling more diverse roles.

Sisley Choi Breaks Up with Hubert Wu?

1649248359265.png

Did Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) and Hubert Wu (胡鴻鈞) break up? The actress reportedly broke off her relationship with Hubert and is dating an entertainment company executive, who can help her career.

Sisley’s rumors with Hubert started in 2019, after he was caught driving her around. Hubert even gave his sister’s car for Sisley to drive, and would invite her to family gatherings. Their relationship became an open secret, even though both did not publicly admit it.

Despite her closeness with Hubert, Sisley has been linked to almost every male actor that she has worked with. Last September, she was allegedly pursued by a married businessman after flaunting many luxury labels on her social media. At that time, Sisley’s breakup with Hubert seemed to be on the horizon, but the actress dispelled them by attending Hubert’s concert with her parents.

Sisley’s latest rumors did not bother Hubert, who turned 32 years old yesterday. Sharing a set of photos on his Instagram of him playing around like a child, he wrote, “Let’s keep our childish innocence and go on an adventure.”

Regarding the latest rumors, Hubert and Sisley presented a united front and stated they are both good friends.

Fala Chen’s “Irma Vep” to Premiere at Cannes Film Festival

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings made Fala Chen (陳法拉) an international star. The 40-year-old continues to take on diversified projects, such as upcoming HBO miniseries Irma Vep, a remake of the 1996 French film directed by Olivier Assayas.

Irma Vep tells a story following American movie star Mira (Alicia Vikander) traveling to France to play a role in filmmaker René Vidal’s remake of silent film Les Vampires. However, she becomes so engrossed in her character that she experiences an identity crisis.

According to reports, Irma Vep is set to premiere at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival in May. The cast including Fala, Alicia Vikander, Adria Arjona, Carrie Brownstein, and Jerrod Carmichael will likely be in attendance. While Fala has yet to announce her attendance, her appearance would mark her first time to walk on the red carpet of Cannes.

Last November, the actress had uploaded a photo of herself dressed in a skintight black suit while commenting that she was filming in the outskirts of France. Her look drew great interest from fans who praised Fala’s suitability for the role, which had previously featured Maggie Cheung (張曼玉) in the Irma Vep film version.
