Ah..at last some clarity although still ambiguous, after the duplicities of your claims to fool the naive - so now 'sailors can drink when anchored near shore'?

So what else does the insignificant nobody me needs to make you an honest man, even if you are not Singaporean?

Still, whatever trash you had written DOES NOT validate your claims against millions of Singaporean NSF & NSmen whom are & had served with honor over decades since Independence.

Nice try at another MISDIRECTION attempt yet again. Do try again. I await...
and you go fuck @JohnTan

Last time all this Encik can let of steam and fight the pai kias in Kaoshiung during Starlight, Now no more. So have to let off steam on each other.

The insignificant nobody me recalled an incident at a overseas military training mission years back in Taiwan in the province of Taichung...

Our teams had to hike up the infamous 5 fingers mountain with full battle order, at some points, it was a steep climb to reach the top, using 3-point contact to get to the top amidst cold & rainy weather. It was exhausting, but we made it thru, & was only looking forward to return to our base camp, which unfortunately, had to pass thru a small village.

We took pains to avoid the village centre, trekked only on the outskirts, but out of nowhere, a drunken Taiwanese lout on a motorbike began chasing & verbally harassing us. We just ignored him, afterall it were words & not gonna hurt us.

However, he was not satisfied & took it as an insult from us. He raced to the front, stopped his back, ran to our front scout who was an officer & slapped him.

We were a close knitted team. We dropped our equipment & rushed to the front, exhausted as we are to consider factors such as being guests in a foreign country, military orders or harm to international relations. All we saw was one of our team member being bullied, & were going to lay waste to the lout.

Fortunately or unfortunately, there was a Taiwanese Liaison officer - a Colonel -attached to us. He only carried a small pack, & thus ran faster than us to reach the drunken lout & covered him with his body. He ordered us to stop as he knew our intent.

We were in no mood to listen to a foreign officer, but the victim shouted us to stop too.

We obeyed but with fists clenched... The Colonel then turn around, gave the drunken lout a hard punch to the face which sent him sprawling. He then made a sign with his fingers, perhaps a Triad coded identification, which made the drunken lout got up but to his knees & bow before the Colonel & the victim.

Still angry, but exhausted, we made our way back to base camp with no further incidents thru that village. An incident report was filed, but I guess our higher-ups deduced that the matter had been resolved, so no further action was taken, as Singapore is not Taiwan & their cultures & situation are far different from us....

When we completed our training mission & was ready to board the bus to take us back to Singapore, the Taiwanese military liaison officers & staff lined up at the bus doorway to shake each of our hands & bide us goodbye.....

if they get sacked from saf, can go airport join certis and be security guards

Actually, i don't think any local parents will name their own child "Ranger", and coincidentally the child become an army regular.

Some issues need to settle by fighting is it not? Just need to know when to stop or someone to stop it before one is badly injured.
We just watch their display of fighting skill in public. So, it may or may not be disturbing peace if no one killed but just a misunderstanding
among them.

This one is nothing lah, small incident. There were many more incidents then this in Taiwan. Used to be a few large scale fights between peng kia on R & R in Kaoshiung and local gangsters. In those days (70s and 80s) even lousy NS pay was still much more then what the local taiwanese can earn. So our boys always have not problem chope girls there. And the local guys not happy about that. So fight lah. Now, we send all these specky studious idiots there for Starlight, unless there is a fight with their scientific calculator, they cannot win.
