how about this : if earth is like a ball and circles around the sun , at the bottom half of the earth why water in the ocean and human beings and all other objects
are not falling off the surface of the earth.
i know you will answer gravity. lets compare 2 persons of same size and weight , one in england and the other in Australia.
is the gravity stronger at australia stronger than england ? since the guy at australia is upside down and has a greater tendency to fall off the surface.
Many thanks for posting again! :)
And once again, may I remind you to vote in the poll? :o

Ahhh..you used Wikipedia. How sweet. All of us are guilty of using it as its gospel of truth. Don't get me wrong. I equally use Wiki and YouTube. ;-)

wikipedia.org/wiki/Submarine_communications_cable
wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_wave#Propagation

Think again. I gave you some examples of situations where one needs to use Satt comm devices to make communication between 2 parties.
The examples were air (on the plane), sea (in the middle of the vast ocean), and remote land (unhibited terrain, remote mining area or jungles). Lets say, miners in some remote area in Western Australia or a remote area in a 3rd world country. Try using your standard mobile and one will not get any coverage. If you don't get coverage, it means you are not connected to the comms network that uses, lets say...the sub coms cable and radio wave propagation. One doesn't see a microwave tower bobbing out in the middle of the pacific ocean eh? One needs to use Satt comms to make a phone call.

As far as the international sea and air, no individual telecoms company will invest in coverage in an vast open area with no inhibitants. Hence the requirement of Satellites (eg Intelsat Immarsat). Countries that wants to be part of this international service pay money for it. So if you are a the owner of a commercial ship sailing in the middle of the pacific ocean, and you get into trouble for whatever reasons, you can do a "emergency callout" to get help from the nearest country.

I did a google on Singapore (ha....to justify my point) and this is a link:

http://cache1.asset-cache.net/gc/16...hsDqiPxHVU5o1J6Ng21Jxb1uYDVDORz7r4eJLuSbrbw==

Singapore does not spend massive millions on satellite earth stations for nothing you know. I hope debunkers don't tell me its actually used as a water catchment or as a "birdbath". I am sure Singtel (?) employ hundreds of people to man, operate and service these Satt station.

Btw the way, I was itching to put this link from Wiki. So omg....Satt comms actually exist. ;-)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communications_satellite

Btw, if you want to know about Intelsat:

http://www.intelsat.com/

If you think this stock exchange listed company is fake and only sending fake cardboard rockets with payload up to space, by all means.

And if the general consensus are that Satellites are the real deal, then one can take it to the next level and delve deeper into how the satellites orbits in space (I believe eatshitndie has mentioned something about it). Maybe...then one can look into the theory of satellite orbit around the earth (flat earth or otherwise).

If you think this stock exchange listed company is fake and only sending fake cardboard rockets with payload up to space, by all means.
Yes, because once again, "satellites" truly do not exist. ;)

The powers that be always mix lies with truth, in order to deceive as many people as possible into thinking that the lies are also truths, after gaining their trust by telling them much-easier-to-understand obvious truths and bribing them with sufficient security and material comforts.
Unfortunately, this kind of deception (or brainwashing/mind control) has been ongoing all over the world throughout the entire history of humanity in one form or another. :(

I thought again, and I soon reached the conclusion that the:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satellite_phone
is simply a more powerful mobile phone, able to detect micro/radio waves that standard mobile phones cannot detect.

These "satellite phones" are deliberately not made available to the vast majority of the population to buy (or from another point of view, standard mobile phones are deliberately designed to be less powerful), in order to brainwash the actual users into thinking that since "satellite phones" are so exclusive, therefore they must "really" be using some kind of "satellite" technology! ;)

Basically, for most people, their perception is their "reality" (quora.com/Is-perception-reality), just like their dreams or fantasies:

wikipedia.org/wiki/Reality_(Richard_Sanderson_song)
metrolyrics.com/reality-lyrics-richard-sanderson.html

Met you by surprise
I didn't realize
That my life would change forever
Saw you standing there
I didn't know I'd care
There was something
special in the air

Dreams are my reality
The only kind of real fantasy
Illusions are a common thing
I try to live in dreams
It seems as if it's meant to be

Dreams are my reality
A different kind of reality
I dream of loving in the night
And loving seems alright
Although it's only fantasy

If you do exist
Honey don't resist
Show me a new way of loving
Tell me that it's true
Show me what to do
I feel something special about you

Dreams are my reality
The only kind of reality
Maybe my foolishness is past
And maybe now at last
I'll see how the real thing can be

Dreams are my reality
A wond'rous world
where I like to be
I dream of holding you all night
And holding you seems right
Perhaps that's my reality

Met you by surprise
I didn't realize
That my life would change forever
Tell me that it's true
Feelings that are new
I feel something special about you

Dreams are my reality
A wondrous world
where I like to be
Illusions are a common thing
I try to live in dreams
Although it's only fantasy

Dreams are my reality
I like to dream of you close to me
I dream of loving in the night
And loving you seems right
Perhaps that's my reality

:p

Therefore, the majority is not always right, right? ;)

Wahaha. The guy in the vid is a joke. ;-)

I am with you 100% that the space vids are fake/CGI. But isn't ironic that that guy use the same fake vid to justify that satellites doesn't exist?
In the same logic, what makes you think that are fibre optic cables laid all across the seabed? Do a google and you probably get an international company supplying the cables. Yes, in the vid, you get to see a cable drum on a boat...so what? have you seen them lay cables on the sea bed? Its deep in the ocean. what proof do you have that its length is thousands of km? Having a snap shot of a piece of cable undersea with nemo swimming around it, doesn't mean there are cables. Have you witnessed commissioning works done to ensure these cables are working?

You THINK you KNOW that they are using cables undersea because you READ/SAW it on Utube or some link on the internet. But in reality you know as LITTLE as me and everyone else.

For all you know, Singtel invested in a few empty condensed milk cans and waterproof strings for their communications network. And there are people on bicycles pedalling to generate power to run all these equipment. And those professors in the university teaching satt comms and doing Phd research on effects solar, rain, radiation etcetc on satt comms technology are just wanking off behind their desks. What about spending miilions on firing up rockets into space? Delivering Chinese take away to the aliens?

You have done a good job putting on good U tube vids that help generate discussion and get people to think out of the box. But having that vid of that guy singing..hmmm seriously dude....

everytime i visit sg for some unconscious reason i feel like the place is as flat as a runway as chichis are numerically non-existent. :o

Because NASA claims the fake vid is not fake, right? ;)

Because a cable located at most only a few miles underwater is much more believable than a "satellite" located hundreds of miles above the Earth in the air, right? ;)

whether it be 100m or 100 ft only numskull nuts, yes that means you flat earthers would come up with this idea of a long wall at the edge of the earth:D
Many thanks to all three of you for keeping this important thread within the first two pages of the Courtyard sub-forum the past couple of days while I was busy. :p

My friend, be careful what you post ;-)

Have a relook at the Y2009 Submarine cable map. Your pic clearly shows the undersea cable layout based on the conventional earth map...tsk tsk.

You are very confident that the flat earth exist (fair enough for me as I also appreciate some very good arguments) but you are arguing your case for not existent satellites (something I say it exist, because I worked in that telecommunication environment at some point in time) and existence of undersea cable (which also exist). But you used THAT pic to make your argument for the existence of undersea cable. In short, you also unconsciously agree to the conventional earth map. Try making this argument in front of learned R&D academics and experienced telecommunication engineers/consultants/designers and they will shred you to pieces.

But then again, this is only Sammyboy forum. The majority of the audience here are all char-pa-lang whose grey cells only start to process when a MRT train breaks down or if the topic is about some raging muslim or ah-tiong.

Thanks for your friendly warning. ;)
I'm trying my best, even though I'm not perfect. :o

Basically, the "the undersea cable layout based on the conventional earth map" contains both truth (the undersea cable layout) and lies (conventional earth map, based on false/imaginary "scientific principles").
To me, it's as simple as that; as simple as one plus one equals two, i.e. if you ask me why one plus one equals two, I'm afraid I'm unable to provide any further reasons.

But then again, this is only Sammyboy forum. The majority of the audience here are all char-pa-lang whose grey cells only start to process when a MRT train breaks down or if the topic is about some raging muslim or ah-tiong.
Absolutely agree, and I'm with you on this! :p

I will assume most forummers here are Singaporeans or at least been/lived in Singapore.

FYI, it appears NTU has a Satellite research centre.

http://www.sarc.eee.ntu.edu.sg/Pages/Home.aspx

Whilst you are claiming satellites don’t exist, NTU has already sent its 5th and 6th satellite up to space in Y2015 with 2 more coming up! 

I mean, with the exception of all gong-gong faces of those staff/researchers shown on their website, are you really intending to think they are phoney or in some secretive freemason society all bent to deceive Singaporeans? If the idiots in this forum get the wind of Spore government wasting taxpayer’s money, can you imagine the uproar?

If you seriously belief in your convictions (which you have shown) and to reinforce your theory/assumptions, what better way than to get in touch with those people and understand their level of knowledge. You don’t even have to visit NASA. Put those NTU researchers to the test with your assumptions and get them to prove their theories to you. Hey…I am pretty sure, they will also show you real photos of their own satellites up in space (you don’t need to depend on NASA to provide you with “doctored” pics).

If you do not want to do that, hey…no problems too. Just stick to your own convictions and be prepared to be taken to task. 

I must admit that's a nice pic! :p

Yes, I'm aware of that; also, just two weeks ago:

I cannot know for sure whether they are freemasons, which is not that important anyway even if they are.
But I am 100% sure satellites don't exist, therefore they are either deceived themselves or maliciously hypocritical, especially since none of them has actually travelled with those satellites for hundreds of miles into "outer space", right? ;)

If "seeing is believing", then to truly see a physical thing clearly, one must see it with one's naked eyes, and not on a screen or through a telescope (no matter how powerful), right? ;)
In which case, it's actually no longer believing (which requires faith), but knowing. ;)

If the idiots in this forum get the wind of Spore government wasting taxpayer’s money, can you imagine the uproar?
Firstly, that's a big IF.
Secondly, true "idiots" will not "get the wind of Spore government wasting taxpayer’s money" (i.e. they'll just keep trusting the government no matter what until they die), right? ;)

Yes, I have zero desire to waste my time and energy hearing and seeing in person the same old lies (including "real photos of their own satellites up in space") and delusional "scientific" reasoning that I've heard and read and seen through the internet (including those in this thread ;)), therefore you are right that there should be no problems for both of us. ;)

Also, my convictions (not "assumptions") are at a level (like a full glass of water) where there is no longer any need for any "reinforcement" (unlike when I first discovered last year that the Earth has always been flat).

Just stick to your own convictions and be prepared to be taken to task.
That's why I dared to start this thread, right? ;)

But seriously, I just felt like sharing my discovery, and I was also curious to see if anyone agrees.
If nobody agrees (which is what I was initially expecting), I would not mind at all, simply because that's what I was expecting.
Which is why I'm surprised that quite a few agree!
Then again, maybe they were all just being sarcastic, which I also don't mind. :p

Yo, i work in a broadcast company. We transmit and receive our RF signals via satellites. There are many broadcast satellite dishes in singapore, and a huge earth station in bukit timah. These dishes are used to uplink and downlink broacast signals.

The most commonly used satellite in Asia is Asiasat-5 and Asiasat-7.

www.lyngsat.com/AsiaSat-5.html

http://www.lyngsat.com/AsiaSat-7.html

We used it to transmit and receive numerous tv programmes every day. The EPL you watch is downlinked via Asiasat-5. Eutelsat-7A for example is used in Europe, as its name implies, and so on..

Im not an expert, just an operator. Basically our broadcast transmission is done in 2 ways, via satellite or fibre (undersea cables), or a combination of both. because the coverage of a satellite is limited because the EARTH IS ROUND.

Our industry may be under the radar, but go do yourself a favour. Go read up on these companies..They form the backbone of broacast satellite and fibre transmission.

But you NEED AN OPEN MIND. This is not a religion, you can't use faith as a shield for being an idiot.

Look, it's just really funny when you said the earth is flat, but by denying that there are no satellites and no undersea cables, you are insulting thousands of us who use them to earn a living and make watching tv, streaming, surfing, listening to radio, play pokemon possible for people on earth.

If there are no satellites, no undersea fibre cables, tell me, in your own words, in one paragraph, how the fuck we are able to read what you type on your phone/ keyboard?:kma:

Satellite transmission definitely exists for ships to communicate to land or other ships.
