A watershed moment for the people's trust in the PAP.
Lawrence Seow.
For the better part of May, the entire Singapore has been watching the fiasco of Ridout Road. Singaporeans love their country; not necessarily the PAP government.
We are concerned about justice and equality, that Ministers actually make life better for us instead of enriching themselves.
Much had already been said about the review headed by Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean. Even the kopitiam uncles know enough to say it won’t be impartial or independent. I can’t add anything to this that hasn’t already been said.
But I will predict that this is a watershed case – if the PAP does not get someone else other than Teo and if they whitewash and cover up like they always do, then this will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Shanmugam and Vivienne must be questioned like Davinder Singh questioned TT Durai of National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
Give us straight answers, yes or no. After all, it is about abusing their positions.
The PAP will lose its mandate and moral authority if they don’t get this right. And they’re going to lose the next Election because the public has had enough of their nonsense. This is my prediction.
