Liverpool to sign Minamino from RB Salzburg. 7m is his release clause. Cut price deal. Good business.

Now that the CL group stages are over I would like to share some thoughts on RB Salzburg

What a team! Especially going forward and attacking!

If you look at the results they were really not far behind from LFC and Napoli

They lost both home games to these two sides. 0-2 to LFC and 2-3 to Napoli.

But away they played Napoli to 1-1 draw at the San Paolo Stadium.

And who will forget the come back they had at Anfield from 3-0 down to fight back to 3-3 before Salah scored the winner in the 69th minute!

They also bulldozed Racing Genk.

An analysis of the results show that they did better playing away than at home. Probably because they would attack too much at home and their defence was suspect. Away games tended to be more balanced for them because the home team would leave gaps for them to exploit.

Their attacking trio of Takumi Minamino, Hwang Hee-Chan, and Erling Haland is very very good. Little wonder why they are attracting interest from bigger teams.

Minamino is heading to Anfield. Great signing. I don't see Hee-Chan or Haland moving to LFC though. We have too many midfielders. And in terms of strikers I don't see Haland having the sort of mobility required from an LFC player.

Let's hope Klopp can give him immediate impact, Klopp tends to let new signing warming the bench too long. Fabinho and Keita too.

Today early kick off @8.30pm Liverpool vs Watford. Follow by Leicester vs Norwich @11.30pm and Aresenal vs Man City 0030hrs monday morning.
I believe only Leicester and Man City still have a realistic change of catching Liverpool. Chelsea and rest of the teams below are too far off.

I think it depends on the player rather than Klopp.

We all saw how Fabinho didnt look good when he first started. Took him a while to get up to pace with the team. So it was good judgement on Klopp's part to give Fabinho more time.

Keita started well then got injured and has been struggling since.

Recent displays are very promising. Another one that needed time.

But from what I see with Minamino he should fit into the team quite easily. Shall see how it goes.

Chelsea 0-1 Bournemouth
Leicester 1-1 Norwich
Liverpool now 10 points ahead of Leicester.
Great Leicester result for LFC. Especially that the next game is Leicester vs Man City meaning at least one of them will be further behind in points potentially both if they draw.

Nice cushion for Liverpool.

Arsenal play Man City tomorrow. Arsenal are due a bounce with Freddie in charge.

Hope they pull off a huge upset and beat Guardiola's blues.

Leicester is now 10 points off. Next game is with Man City.

Unless LFC are 20+ points ahead of 2nd then I will say the title is in the bag.

it's almost done, barring a major collapse. they finally shown the capability and will to win it.

As a fan for over 30 years I will say let's wait till it is May before we say anything about the title.

We have seen too many false dawns.

Earlier results

Man U 1 Everton 1

Wolves 1 Spurs 2

I really like OGS as a manager. He produces the best results for non ManU fans :)

Currently Arsenal 0 ManCity 3 at the Emirates.

Man watching Arsenal play .......how low have they fallen? Seriously, teams like Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Norwich, play better than Arsenal these days.

Arsenal playing like shit, it's no wonder that some of the moronic Arsenal fans are now pretending to be Liverpool fans.

Arsenal players are crap. There is ZERO intensity about the team. Very sad. They won't press. They don't run after loose balls. They don't tackle hard. All ball watching. Then pass pass pass till lose the ball. No ideas. No plan whatsoever how to play balls forward. Defenders get the ball around penalty area hoof to the opposition so they can start attacking again.

WTF? If it keeps going like this I think Arsenal might be in for a relegation battle towards the end of the season.

Mesut Ozil is a joke. He represents just how low Arsenal have sunk.
Kevin De Bruyne, on the other hand, was outstanding for City.

The Arsenal players might as well be anonymous.

Abject.

Even Aubemayang did nothing.

Pepe is a joke. Guendozzi is energetic and recognizable with his big hair. But also does nothing going forward or defensively. Always seems to be around the action but doesnt have any influence. Is he playing referee?

Best performer is Bernd Leno the goalkeeper.

China pulled out live coverage of Arsenal vs Man City game because of Mesut Ozil.
And he was frustrated when sub.

Moise Kean score a first this season, after coming in as a sub in the 2nd half, he was sub just 18 min later, big flop.

A draw game will suit Liverpool, but if I will to choose a winner, I prefer Leicester even though they are closer to Liverpool. In my view, other teams can take care of Leicester but not Man City.
