Manchester Derby on Sunday.
Will Kompany and partner be able to stop Rooney and Van Persie? Will Vidic and Ferdinand be able to stop Aguero and partner?

This is a tough one to call. Both teams have had rather unimpressive starts to the EPL season and although both won their respective mid week CL qualifying matches, I remain unimpressed.
Both Rooney and RvP missed absolute 'sitters' on Tuesday night against Bayer Leverkusen and they really need to be on their top form if Man Utd are gonna get anything from this game. Wonder how much City will be missing Tevez?
My prediction is a draw or a slim win to City.

Another interesting game tonight is the Fulham v Chelsea derby. Poor old the (un)happy one, Mourinho is under a bit of pressure., Chelsea's worst start to the season since Abramovich took over. Another defeat for the Blues tonight and surely his head will be on the chopping block.

For the way some of the Chelsea fans treated Benitez, I hope Mourinho's second tenure at Stamford bridge fails miserably.

David Moyes needs a win against a big premiership rival at this early stage of the season otherwise the fans would question his capabilities for the big games. actually no need. just win all matches against the bottom 15 teams of the league and that is 90 points already, good enough to win the title.

win all matches against the bottom 15 teams? but he already lost to Liverpool............................

Man City will be well organized defensively when Kompany plays. I'm beginning to think their new defensive midfielder Fernandinho, who was twice the price of his replacement in the Brazilian national team Paulinho, is a tad over-rated.

I hope Mourinho fails becos of the way he always claims his team was the "best team" even when they lost to clearly the better side, and conversely that the other team was the "best team" when his team wins.

Oh dear! It's all gone a bit pear shaped for Liverpool....and after such a promising start.

And my prediction for the 1st EPL Manager to be sacked....? Paolo DiCanio. 1 point from 5 games is not acceptable.
You read it here first in Sammyboy.

This game is looking rather one sided at half time. With no Van Persie, Ashley Young looks very poor and Fellaini is the invisible man in midfield.

Please bring SAF out of retirement...

Hope you had a bet on this.
He has been sacked by Sunderland.

Sunderland sack Paolo Di Canio
September 22, 2013
By ESPN staff, Kristan Heneage

Sunderland have fired boss Paolo Di Canio six games into the Premier League season following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion.

The club issued a statement on their official website which read: "Sunderland AFC confirms that it has parted company with head coach Paolo Di Canio this evening.

"Kevin Ball will take charge of the squad ahead of Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup game against Peterborough United and an announcement will be made in due course regarding a permanent successor.

"The club would like to place on record its thanks to Paolo and his staff and wishes them well for the future."

The 45-year-old lasted less than six months at the Stadium of Light after agreeing to join the club on the 31st March. Replacing Martin O'Neill at the helm, he faced a difficult beginning to his time on Wearside with Sunderland deep in a relegation battle with just eight games remaining.

Securing two wins and two draws during his first eight games in charge, the Black Cats were able to avoid demotion after Wigan failed to beat Arsenal at the Emirates. Saturday's loss meant Sunderland had earned just one point from the first six games of this season.

(as long as Real Madrid, Barcelona or Atletico Madrid are not playing each other, there's no game of the weekend)

Game of the weekend is from....................................... La Liga!!!!

The Madrid Derby: Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid

AM are in good form and playing like a well oiled unit under Diego Simeone. Diego Costa may be called up by Spain, despite playing 2 friendly internationals for his native Brazil.
David Villa is showing goal scoring form, they also have other good attacking players like Turan, Adrian, and new Spanish international Koke.
Bale will be making his home debut and Real will be looking for a good performance after barely squeezing past newly promoted Elche 2-1 in midweek.

From the BPL: Spurs vs Chelsea

AVB pits his wits against his former team under his former boss Jose Mourinho.
Will "the one who got away" Willan play for his new team Chelsea against his "nearly" team Spurs?
Looks like the "sole non-automated policeman" may not be playing.

There's no love lost between these two, in fact it's being set up as a grudge match between these former colleagues.
I think AVB still hasn't forgiven Mourinho for shafting his career whilst they were both at Porto and Inter Milan and he's desperately looking for revenge.

I expect Spurs to edge this one but it'll be tight. Chelsea will have a better chance if Mata plays, I really cannot work out why he has been left on the bench so often by Mourinho. I know Chelsea are already pretty strong in midfield but he's a quality player (just based on his performances last year, he really made a difference).

Really puzzling.

And Spurs actually doing better than I expected this season without the €100m man.

I heard part of AVB's pre match conference and he didn't sound too bitter. He did admit that he parted ways with Jose because Jose didn't give him a position as his number 2.

Jose has explained his reasons for leaving Mata out. He rates Oscar as the better number 10 and sees Mata as either his backup or a wide player. As a wide player in Jose's system, needs to track back and perform defensive duties, which Mata doesn't do to Jose's satisfaction. So Mata warms bench.

Remember to sarpok my favorite dramatic, experienced ex Neapolitan shot stopper at AS Roma. Perfect 5 wins in 5 games. Have yet to lose points.

Morgan will be fine provided he doesn't go upfield for any corners.

Of course

Fernando Torres does not believe Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho favours Samuel Eto'o ahead of himself or Demba Ba.
