Smoking

That's an interesting concept.
I have also come to the conclusion that the addicition to smoking is not simply the nicotine.
It is also the act of buying the cigarettes, the act of offering one to a friend and getting one from a friend, the act of "knocking" out the cigarette from the pack, the act of lighting, the act of puffing, even the way you hold the cigarette between puffs.
The whole process is an addiction.
But as I have been saying all along, do they realize how inconsiderate they are when there are non smokers who have an aversion to cigeratte smoke around when they smoke?

Sad to say. Smoker WILL ONLY realised after they had fully quit tobacco-cigarette and APPRECIATE how smelly and nasty tobacco-smoke are. When I was still a smoker, my sinus cavity was fully masked-up, tobacco-smoke is like Chanel No.5 to me. After quitting, suddenly they become lorong halus. Even I was amazed.

Any smokers here?
My apologies and I have no intention of offending anyone, but I can't understand the obsession with smoking, especially among china nationals.
I was in china recently, and some people even smoked in the lifts.
They would light up after a meal, after a meeting, sometimes during a meeting, during a coffee break, in the queue, at the mall, while surfing the internet, while scratching their balls, etc etc.

What's the purpose of smoking anyway? Is it just an addiction that cannot be stopped? Or is it a social gesture?
Do the smokers realize that they are causing a lot of discomfort to the non smokers who find cigarette smoke very irritating? Or do they simply not care?

Can any smokers please explain or any non smokers care to comment?

I feel it is better economically and morally to not even start. Some of my buddies smoke, which is their choice, but, I live a happier life by not doing so.
