You Must Show Up At Hong Lim Park This Saturday 26 January.
Singaporeans are fed up! Fed up with the lack of accountability by our leaders and politicians and fed up with the elites who are abusing the system for their own benefit.
At moments like this, if you are one of those who think that our society is not on the right path, it is important for you to show up and voice out your displeasure in unison with fellow Singaporeans.
You have no choice! And you will have the opportunity to do so this Saturday 26th of January at Hong Lim Park at 4-7 pm when we hold the Abuse of Process Rally. At times like this, it is necessary to demonstrate in great numbers.
In August 1963, advocates against racism called for a Great March on Washington DC to protest against the injustice and inequality which Black Americans were suffering in their own country.
The organisers expected 100,000 people to turn up for the March. In the end 250,000 people showed up.
That March is seared into History because of the historic “I have a Dream” speech by Dr Martin Luther King Jr on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
It was a speech calling for freedom and equality. In It, he dared to dream that one day white children would hold hands together with black children.
You can watch the abridged video of his speech below. That great March generated so much moral authority that only 9 months later President Lyndon Johnson signed into Law the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which finally gave Black Americans equal status in American society.
That was followed by the Voting Rights Act the next year which prohibits racial discrimination in voting. President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation finally bore fruit after 102 years.
My fellow Singaporeans, if you desire a country where you are able to express yourself freely and not have the elite abuse the system, you need to show up this Saturday.

This Lim Thean is really a desperado if he intends to piggy back on this Aloysius incident to further his political gain. What is utmost now is to study the cause and improve on the safety aspects for both humans and machine.
In my opinion, there could be a lack of safety facilities within the cabin. There should be "Emergency Stop Pushbuttons" installed at strategic locations where personnel could be subjected to harm. In this way, when a person or technician will come into a compromised situation, he can then activate the "Emergency Stop Pushbutton" to stop all further movement and bring whatever cause of action to a standstill. This is what is implemented for those Robotic Automation systems which I had worked on.
