The fucking commander must be put to jail for good. It is his job to fully ensure that his team is safe and accountable before lowering the gun barrel. It is definitely not due to the fault of a mechanical defect or error, but it is definitely due to a human's negligence. What the fuck was he doing? If MINDEF is not going to prosecute and severely punish the commander, it will then be seen as being biased and in future, the trust of the SAF personnel in MINDEF will be broken and tarnished.

In my opinion, this tragedy can be very much avoided if the fucking commander had done his due diligence and take his work seriously. If there is no justice for Aloysius, then I have to agree that MINDEF is a truly fucked organization.

It's very sad but in almost every instance of death in recent years, it is the commanders who screwed up resulting in the ultimate sacrifice by the men.

Says a lot about the training standards and values that are imparted to trainees at Sispec and OCS. I question how far up the rot goes within the SAF.

Many of us fantasized about putting a bullet through the backside of commander xxx, yyy or zzz during war times. No need to wonder why.
