[Singapore] - Local Uni student scolds his parents for giving him $2k monthly allowance, they increase to $3k, he still complain not enough

$6.9k a month won’t be enough for this spoilt brat. in fact no bigger amount is enough. best is throttle it down to $696, as i’ve proven in sg that one can survive and thrive on less than $696 a month.
KNN my uncle currently take home about $2696 monthly and spend about $696 and saved $2k KNN all the bills can be steered close to $6.9 with utility more about $69.90 KNN

If my uncle were to stop work today he can spend $696 monthly for near 130 years KNN

What a lucky chap. Most likely he won't need to look for work. Or rather just turn up at the parents company etc.. company n business already given.

Yes, just like the average sinkie. PAP give you money you say not enough, still demand more. Tsk tsk. :cautious:

3000 for a uni student in Singapore ?
should have all uni student request this from their parent....without pressure the parents will not work hard and GDP will not go up.
for these uni after grad, come out to work, any salary below sgd-4K is not acceptable, therefore those job between usd-1800 to usd-4500 will go to foreigner from india, philippine, malaysia, vietnam, indoneasia.

I don't expect my kid to go to uni, if he/she do go to one, he/she is on his/her own (to loan to get a grant or work part time)
after 18yo, its no longer my responsibility, as long as I am not a financial burden to my kid.

Edit: Taylor confessions is for Malaysia Taylor Uni students to rant. Not sinkees. Next.

If he is a smart student, he can start to do some investing with his pocket money. Think of a start up idea.
