Not just the social problems. The PAP has totally lost the concept of good governance. One of the key pillars of good governance is to foster entrepeurship and business risk taking, coupled with advances in productivity. I see all these going down rapidly in Singapore. That's very worrisome. As a nation the drive to excel and take risks is no longer there. Everything is about hiring the cheapest person, getting the cheap money flowing, doing things the easy way, and avoid the hassle of thinking and exploring.

Truly a very serious dilemna.

if LHL and the pap truly wants to have a National Conversation, all they need to do is look at how they have messed up SG and Singaporeans' lives.

MBS, RWS, GBTB, etc are just facade. Look at the people's miseries in SG

LHL's idea of a National Conversation with Singaporeans is so embarrassing. It only showed that LHL is not confident and an nieffective leader. He has no idea how to govern SG and is resorting to getting ideas from Singaporeans. If he had ideas, as PM, he shd just press on with his ideas if he is a strong leader..

I hope the Alternative Parties will use this to hammer LHL and the pap at the next GE.

I cant imagine LKY or Obama appealing to their citizens to have a National Conversation to sound out thei ideas to them. A PM or president must know how he wants to bring his people forward. If he has no idea, he is obliged not to run for political office. why did LHL ask us to elect him at GE 2011 when he had no idea how to improve Singaporeans lives?

as PM, he has all the facts , data, statistics, everything he needs to make decisions...why is he asking ordinary people to give him their ideas? such a waste of time and resources. as the PM..he must just make the decision and lead...dont be wishy washy...that's a bad leader

With newer and better casinos coming up in the region and around the world, the novelty of MBS and RWS is wearing off. In the future, will MBS and RWS continue to do well like what it did for the first two years or will its future dim?

In prostitution, clients will go for fresher, younger and more hungry prostitutes. The older prostitutes will be sidelined unless they repackaged themselves. The same goes for casinos.

Likewise, unless MBS and RWS repackage themselves, they will find that they will be sidelined by high rollers who will go for the newer casinos. The future looks bleak for S casinos and the pap who thinks that it has got a sacred cash cow

So will the pap give new licences to MGM, Mirage, Caesar's Palace, Circus Circus, Harrah's, Monte Carlo, etc in the next few years to keep SG afloat?

My take is that the PAP shd not rely on gambling, tourism, services and vices to keep SG GDP up.

The pap shd be wise and follow Korea..invest on knowledge and technology. Such gain in technology and knowledge cant be easily replicated by other countries..look at Korea...booming..with Samsung, Hyundai, etc..producing cars, phones, etc...

I have not been to MBS nor RWS casino too.

My reason for not going is that I know it can be addictive and gambling detroys lives. Is that good enough reason for you? or wld you like to tempt fate?
