to a punter, once bet is laid, it's 50/50, you win or lose.
since you either win or lose in all games, the payout is the deciding factor for the game which is a better bet.

The pap shd be wise and follow Korea..invest on knowledge and technology. Such gain in technology and knowledge cant be easily replicated by other countries..look at Korea...booming..with Samsung, Hyundai, etc..producing cars, phones, etc...

After Philip Yeo and pap screwed an entire generation of engineers by promising great jobs in the 1990s, but end up with massive retrenchments, I don't think there will be that many students willing to go into engineering field for many years.

Same for biotech and soon it will be finance.

just like horse racing or football...it's not just win or lose...

dun mix horse racing and football to casino.

most casino games are down to luck.

horse racing mainly on the punter's skill in handicapping.

i rate s'pore's casinos as the worst.

1st of all, the dealers are very kia su and it showed on their faces. instead of making the patrons happier, they actually piss them off. and i have mentioned before, i believe the card shuffler that they are using is different and the odds stack against you are at least 80 to 90%. try to win them in a card game 3 to 5 times in a roll, it will not happen. and if it happen, you can see the floor manager's eyes looking at you.

the best i went to is US, the bunny girls are all around.

With the fall of Nokia, Finland has lost an arm. Europe is in dire straits except Germany. Russian will move up. The US typically is resilient with its capitalistic character but under Obama, tempered with some socialist leanings, the economy will not move as fast. I am actually surprised to hear that China will overtake US as the world's no. 1 economy in 3 years' time instead of 10 years as was originally projected. I guess it must be based on PPP which has a narrower gap between the two.

i am not a hardcore gambler, i just like to observe the gamblers and play a bit for fun. the casino in s'pore is definitely not a place even for having fun. lose a bit never mind, i just dislike the way the casino is being managed to make you sure lose money kind of mentality.

trust me, don't go there even for having fun, let them close shop on their own. when i have friends coming into s'pore, i'd advise them to go macau to wager their money instead.
