The Electoral Boundaries Review Committee has submitted their recommendations.
With the increase in the number of electors, they have recommended adding one GRC (total of 18) and one SMC (total of 15). The number of elected MPs will increase by 4 to 97.
The next milestone will be to update and certify the registers of electors, before the elections are called later.

Lawrence welcomed General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, on his first Official Visit to Singapore.

Today, I welcomed General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, on his first Official Visit to Singapore. His visit is especially meaningful as Singapore marks 60 years of independence, while Vietnam commemorates its 80th anniversary.
We announced the elevation of our bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP). This is Singapore’s first CSP with an ASEAN member state. It reflects the close links and trust between our nations and the immense potential for even greater collaboration.
The CSP reaffirms our shared commitment to working together in new areas such as renewable energy, carbon credits, and digital transformation.
I look forward to visiting Vietnam later this month to strengthen our ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation. Together, we will take our partnership to new heights.

Wonderful Sunday morning in Sengkang! Visited the new Anchorvale Village, where I had the chance to chat with many young families and multi-generational households.
We know that being a young parent is not easy, and we’re committed to making this journey as smooth and fulfilling as possible— whether through better childcare, family-friendly spaces, or more support to deal with day-to-day expenses.
As Singapore turns 60, we are writing our next chapter together— one where families remain at the heart of our nation. No matter the challenges ahead, we will keep building a Singapore where every family can thrive.

Distributed porridge and nasi briyani to Limbang residents, and later joined many of them—including our Qaryah leaders and volunteers—for buka puasa in the evening. Our Muslim friends have passed the halfway mark of this holy month, and I wish them continued strength and blessings. A big thank you to our dedicated volunteers for their hard work and support!

Continuing my constituency visits, I spent yesterday morning doing a walkabout at Kovan Hub in Paya Lebar and Serangoon North Village. It was heartening to meet and engage with many residents, especially our seniors who are staying active and involved in their golden years!

A short but productive visit to Vietnam. Besides the engagements with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, I also met Communist Party of Vietnam General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man.
Singapore will advance key cooperation projects with Vietnam, guided by our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Our two countries have complementary strengths, which when combined, will unlock new opportunities and potential, for ourselves and our region

Happy to share with Stagmont Park residents that HDB will be implementing the Home Improvement Programme for blocks 784 to 792. We will provide more information on the implementation timeline when it’s available. Meanwhile we are making good progress on the Neighbourhood Renewal Programme for the precinct, including the revamp to Stagmont Park, and look forward to completing the works in the coming months!
