Happy to meet Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of the Kingdom of Thailand this evening. Princess Sirindhorn is an old friend of Singapore and is visiting Singapore for the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2025.
I always enjoy my chats with Princess Sirindhorn. She has a curious mind, and our chats cover a wide range of issues. We spoke about renewable energy, food security, and new healthcare technologies.
I thank Princess Sirindhorn for her strong support for the bilateral relationship and look forward to our next meeting.

I met Indonesia's Defence Minister LG(Rtd) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin this morning and welcomed him on his introductory visit to Singapore.
Singapore and Indonesia share close and long-standing bilateral and people-to-people ties. Our defence relations are especially strong - SAF's first exercise with a foreign counterpart was with Indonesia, and we continue to have many platforms for military exercises and professional exchanges.
The Defence Cooperation Agreement which entered into force last year reflects our robust defence ties. Building on this strong foundation, both sides are now looking at ways to further strengthen defence cooperation, both bilaterally and in ASEAN.

Chinese New Year is a time for reunions and gatherings. Happy to host our retired PAP MPs today for a Chinese New Year “lo-hei” and lunch.
We have, amongst them, veterans who have served since 1965. All of them have dedicated many years of service to Singapore and Singaporeans. I thank them for their many contributions.

Met with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Core Group earlier today where we discussed areas for closer cooperation between India and Singapore including skills training and the digital economy.
The CII has made annual visits to Singapore since 1993, and we share a strong longstanding partnership. Through dialogues, business ventures, investment promotion and student internships, the CII has made important contributions to the growing cooperation between our two countries.
I wish the delegation productive meetings in Singapore and look forward to continued engagements in the future.

I welcomed a bipartisan US Congression delegation (CODEL) today, led by Representative Jimmy Panetta. We had a good discussion on global developments, as well as the many areas of bilateral cooperation between our two countries.
Singapore is a regular host of CODELs. It reflects our strong and longstanding partnership with the US that is built on common interests and a deep reservoir of mutual trust.

Glad that many Singaporeans are stepping forward to contribute and do their part. We may be a little red dot, but our actions show that we have big hearts and we are a generous people.

Every Ramadan, the mosques across Singapore bring Muslims and non-Muslims together to share the blessings of the holy Month. I was happy to join my colleagues and friends to break fast tonight at Al-Istighfar Mosque.
Happy to share that Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) will be building new mosques at Tampines North and Tengah, to better support the Muslim community. More families have moved into these areas, and there's a growing demand for prayer spaces.
We may have different beliefs and faiths, but here in Singapore, we learn to give and take, and celebrate each other’s festivals and traditions. That’s what makes Singapore stand out as an oasis of peace and harmony, especially in an increasingly troubled world.
Saya yakin bahawa dua masjid baharu ini akan dapat memenuhi keperluan masyarakat Islam kita. Kepada semua umat Islam Singapura, sekali lagi, Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadan & Selamat Berpuasa!
