Congrats to badminton mixed doubles pair Terry Hee and Jessica Tan on winning a historic gold medal at the Commonwealth Games! It’s a wonderful birthday gift for Singapore too as we celebrate ND tomorrow. Big shout out to all Team Singapore athletes for flying our flag high!

Happy to meet Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani earlier today.
We reaffirmed the close friendship between Singapore and Qatar. We also had a good exchange on strengthening collaboration - including on sustainability. As small states, our two countries share many similar interests. I was happy to hear from Sheikh Mohammed who chairs the Qatar Investment Authority that its Singapore office is doing well.
I wished Sheikh Mohammed well as Qatar ramps up preparations to host the FIFA World Cup later this year. Will be catching the football action on TV but hope to get the opportunity to visit Qatar again in the future!

Like Singapore, Grab has worked hard to succeed against tough odds and challenges. Congratulations to everyone in Grab on your 10-year anniversary, and the launch of the new Grab headquarters!
Singapore continues to face challenges in the global economic outlook, with the ongoing Ukraine war, and more. But we take heart that just as Singapore has done over the years, we can turn our challenges into opportunities for growth and transformation.
To do this, we need to stay united and work together. On our part, the government will continue to create the conditions for businesses to thrive and prosper. And at the same time, businesses must continue to invest in your workers and help them to grow.
Together, we can work towards a better and stronger Singapore. #ForwardSG

Spoke to our local F&B merchants, Gerai Nenek Obek and Butter Studio. Both merchants shared that their business has improved since joining Grab online.

Also met delivery-partners, Mr Tang Jiu Hai (in red) who is a grab driver and Ms Siti Fatimah bent Abdul Ghani, a grab-walker!

Mr Tang’s son is one of the first batch of Grab Emerald Circle Scholarships recipient who will be graduating from medical school soon.

Ms Siti is also actively participating in Grab Academy to upskill herself such as learning digital marketing.

Visited my alma mater Victoria Junior College earlier today to chat with our JC2 students. Thanks everyone for the great discussion on social changes you'd like to see in Singapore. Do take part in the #ForwardSingapore exercise to let us know your ideas to improve policies!
Let’s work together to strengthen our compact and to help Singapore chart a new way forward. As the school motto goes, nil sine labore (nothing without labour)!
